The Minnesota Wild has reassigned goaltender John Curry and forward Brett Sutter to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Curry, 30 (2/27/84), was recalled by Minnesota yesterday and did not appear in the Wild’s 3-2 overtime loss to Boston. In 12 games with Iowa this season, he is 4-6-0 with a 3.02 goals against average (GAA) and .911 save percentage (SV%), including 3-1-0 with a 2.12 GAA and .934 SV% in his last four starts. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound native of Shorewood, Minn., is 3-2-0 with a 3.55 GAA and a .893 SV% in six career NHL games with Pittsburgh and Minnesota.
Sutter, 27 (6/2/87), was recalled by Minnesota on Monday and collected one assist and four penalty minutes (PIM) in two games with the Wild. He has tallied 14 points (5-9=14) in 26 games with Iowa this season. The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Viking, Alta., has tallied eight points (2-6=8) and 40 PIM in 56 career NHL games with the Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes and Minnesota.
