The Minnesota Wild has recalled defenseman Gustav Olofsson (pronounced GOO-stahv OH-lawf-suhn) from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) and reassigned defenseman Christian Folin (pronounced FOE-lin) to Iowa.
Olofsson, 20 (12/1/94), has recorded three assists and 30 shots on goal in 21 games with Iowa this season. He recorded two hits and one shot on goal in 10:41 of ice time in his NHL debut Nov. 19 at Boston. The 6-foot-3, 197-pound native of Boras, Sweden, has collected four points (1-3=4) and 42 shots on goal in 30 career AHL games with Iowa. Olofsson was selected by the Wild in the second round (46th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and wears sweater No. 23 with Minnesota.
Folin, 23 (2/9/91), has collected two assists and nine penalty minutes in 14 games with Minnesota this season. The 6-foot-4, 219-pound native of Gothenburg, Sweden, owns 13 points (2-11=13) and 22 PIM in 55 career NHL contests with the Wild. He has tallied four points (2-2=4) in 13 AHL contests with Iowa.
