The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League Affiliate, moved to a 3-1 road record after splitting a pair of games against the Rockford IceHogs this past weekend at BMO Harris Bank Arena. Iowa lost its first road game, 3-1 Saturday as G Darcy Kuemper made 24 saves in the defeat and forward Jason Zucker scored the team’s lone goal. The Wild won the second match, 5-2, Sunday as five different players scored and the team collected four-power play goals. D Brian Connelly led the Wild with three power-play assists while forwards Brett Bulmer, Stephane Veilleux, Warren Peters, Taylor Matson and D Jonathon Blum scored and G Johan Gustafsson made 32 saves for the win. Connelly (0-10=10) leads Iowa with 10 points in 11 games while Zucker (4- 4=8) and LW Erik Haula (3-5=8) follow with eight points each. Kuemper is 3-4-0 with a 2.93 GAA and a .912 SV% and Gustafsson is 3-1-0 with a 2.45 GAA, .920 SV% and one shutout.

The Wild begins a six-game homestand with Chicago on Wednesday, San Antonio on Friday and Milwaukee on Saturday.

CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUES

RW Kurtis Gabriel - Owen Sound (OHL): Gabriel ranks second on Owen Sound in assists, 3rd in PIM and T-3rd in scoring...named an assistant captain (10/15)...Wild’s third-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL): Leads team defensemen and ranks 4th on the team in scoring...Minnesota’s fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

COLLEGE/USHL

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten): Michigan did not play last week...Wild’s seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota’s third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft is currently sidelined with an abdominal injury.

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East): Tallied three points (1-2=3) in two games last week as the Eagles beat Boston University, 5-1 on the road and Army, 11-0 at home...Wild’s fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East): Recorded three points (2-1=3) in the Irish’s weekend split vs. Minnesota...Wild’s second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

LW Louis Nanne - Sioux Falls (USHL): Minnesota’s seventh-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft is currently sidelined following shoulder surgery this summer and is expected to be out until mid-December.

D Gustav Olofsson - Colorado College (NCHC): The Wild’s second-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft returned to action in the Tigers home-and-home (0-1-1) this past weekend against Denver recording two shots on goal...missed four games with a shoulder injury (10/25-11/2).

C Avery Peterson - Grand Rapids (High School): Returned home to play his senior season at Grand Rapids High School...Grand Rapids begins play Nov. 26 ...Collected eight points (3- 5=8) including 2 PPG and a +3 rating in 11 games with Sioux City (USHL)...Minnesota’s sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): Had two shots on goal in the Mavericks weekend split vs. North Dakota...T-2nd on the Mavericks in penalty minutes this season...Wild’s fifth-round selection in 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Minnesota Duluth did not play last week...Leads team in assists and T- 4th in points (1st among team defensemen)...Minnesota’s fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

EUROPE

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): SC Bern did not play last week...Wild’s sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (Sweden): Tallied an assist and two penalty minutes in Lulea’s 3-1 loss against Frolunda last week...ranks T-2nd amongst team defensemen in scoring... Minnesota’s fifth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

GOALTENDERS

Alexandre Belanger - Rouyn-Noranda (QMJHL): Ranks T-5th in QMJHL in wins...went 1-2-0 in three games last week...named QMJHL third star of the week on Oct. 28 after going 3-0-0 with a 2.33 GAA and a .926 SV%...Wild’s seventh- round selection in this summer’s 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Steven Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): Lost his third start of the season vs. Clarkson (11/9) stopping 31-of-33 shots in the Crimson’s 2-1 loss...Minnesota’s sixth- round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
