Houston Aeros 2012-13 Record: 29-21-4-3, 65 points, Third Place in South Division

The Houston Aeros, the Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, split a weekend series in Abbotsford to remain in third place in the AHL’s South Division.

On Friday, the Heat used a third-period comeback to earn a 4-2 win versus Houston. D Steven Kampfer and RW Justin Fontaine scored for the Aeros, while G Matt Hackett stopped 21-of-24 shots in the loss.

On Saturday, Houston rebounded with an impressive performance in a 5-1 win in Abbotsford. RW Johan Larsson led the Aeros with a four-point (2-2=4) outing and Hackett made 24 saves to earn his 19th win of the season.

This week, the Aeros travel to Charlotte for a pair of weekend games: Saturday at 6 p.m. CT and Sunday at 2 p.m. CT.

Canadian Hockey Leagues

LW Raphael Bussieres - Baie-Comeau, (QMJHL): The Wild's second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft recorded two goals in four games last week. In 56 games, he has 60 points (26-34=60) and a plus-21 rating.

D Mathew Dumba - Red Deer (WHL): Minnesota's first-round pick in June's NHL Entry Draft netted a plus-5 rating, a goal and assist in three games last week. In 58 games, he has 38 points (14-24=38) and a plus-9 rating.

C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa/Belleville (OHL): Graovac totaled four points (1-3=4) in three games last week. In 53 games, he has 66 (36-30=66) points and is plus-6.

D Colton Jobke - Regina (WHL): Jobke did not skate for the Pats last week. In 25 games, he has 16 points (2-14=16) and is minus-1.


D John Draeger - MIchigan State (CCHA): Earned a plus-1 rating in Michigan State's weekend split versus. Western Michigan.

RW Adam Gilmour - Muskegon (USHL): Minnesota's fourth-round selection in June's NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist in two games last week. Gilmour leads MUskegon in assists (23), points (40), and plus/minus (plus-20) rating.

LW Erik Haula - U. of Minnesota (WCHA): Haula recorded three assists and a plus-2 rating in the Gophers' split versus. Denver last weekend. He leads the Gophers in points (42), assists (27), ranks second in goals (15) as Minnesota is ranked No. 2 in the country.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (CCHA): Named CCHA Offensive Player of the Week after netting three points (2-1=3) in weekend wins versus Bowling Green, including the game-winner Friday and assisting on the winner Saturday. In 27 games, he has 22 points (12-10=22) as the Irish are ranked No. 12 in the country.

LW Louis Nanne - Penticton (BCHL): Totaled three points (1-2=3) in two games last week. In 44 games, Nanne has 41 points (19-22=44) for the No. 3 ranked team in the BCHL.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska-Omaha: Netted one assist in one game during Nebraska-Omaha's pair of weekend losses to Wisconsin.


RW Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss):
Did not skate with Bern last week. Bertschy has four goals and two assists for Bern of the Swiss Elite League.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Netted two assists and a plus-2 rating in two games with Lulea last week.


Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (SEL):
Allowed five total goals in two victories last week. Ranks fourth amongst all Swedish Elite League goalies in goals-against average and fifth in save percentage, having stopped 787-of-847 shots.

Stephen Michalek - Cedar Rapids (USHL): Did not play last week. Has a 3.09 goals-against average, .900 save percentage, and a 7-6-3 record.
