Houston Aeros 2012-13 Record: 31-22-5-5, 76 points, Third Place in South Division

The Houston Aeros, the Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, played four games in five nights, going 2-0-2 to remain third in the AHL’s South Division. RW Justin Fontaine led the Aeros with six points (2-4=6) on the week.

Houston started last week at home taking a 4-1 victory against Charlotte. RW Nick Petersen earned two assists while G Darcy Kuemper saved 26-of-27 shots in the win. The Aeros traveled to Oklahoma City on Friday winning 3-2. C Mikael Granlund earned two points (1-1=2) while Kuemper saved 23 shots on goal. Houston returned home Saturday in a 3-2 shootout defeat against Rochester. Centers Chad Rau and Zack Phillips netted the lone goals for the Aeros and G Cody Reichard saved 27-of-29 shots in the loss. The Aeros faced Texas at home on Tuesday losing 7-6 in overtime. D Steven Kampfer posted a goal and an assist while G Matt Hackett saved 24 shots in the loss.

The Aeros will continue their 10-game homestand against Grand Rapids, hosting the Griffins on Friday and Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.

Canadian Hockey Leagues

LW Raphael Bussieres - Baie-Comeau, (QMJHL): The Wild's second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft has seven points (3-4=7) in three playoff games, leading Sherbrooke to a 3-0 record. In 60 games this season, Bussieres has 68 points (29-39=68) and is plus-27.

D Mathew Dumba - Red Deer (WHL): Minnesota's first-round pick in June's NHL Entry Draft has three points in three playoff games as the Rebels lead Prince Albert three games to none. In 62 games this season, Dumba has 42 points (16-26=42) and is plus-10.

C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa/Belleville (OHL): Graovac tallied seven points (2-5=7) in four playoff games with Belleville. The Bulls are tied with Mississauga in the series, 2-2. Graovac finished the regular season T-9th in the OHL with 38 goals and had 73 points (38-35=73).

D Colton Jobke - Regina (WHL): Finished his second season with Regina. In 31 games, Jobke has 18 points (3-15=18).


D John Draeger - MIchigan State (CCHA): Finished his freshman season at Michigan State after the Spartans dropped their CCHA Quarterfinal series at Miami in three games. In 42 games, Draeger had 10 points (1-9=10).

RW Adam Gilmour - Muskegon (USHL): Minnesota's fourth-round selection in June's NHL Entry Draft notched a goal and assist in two games last week. Gilmour leads Muskegon in assists (25), points (19-25=44), and plus/minus rating. (plus-18).

LW Erik Haula - U. of Minnesota (WCHA): Haula skated for the Gophers as Minnesota fell in the WCHA Final Five Semifinal to Colorado College. The Gophers will face Yale Friday in the NCAA West Regional Semifinal in Grand Rapids, Mich. Haula leads the Gophers in points (16-33=49), assists (33), and is second in goals (16).

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (CCHA): Tallied an assist as Notre Dame claimed the CCHA Championship. The Irish will face St. Cloud State University in the NCAA Midwest Regional Semifinal in Toledo, Ohio. In his freshman season for Notre Dame, Lucia tallied 23 points (12-11=23).

LW Louis Nanne - Penticton (BCHL): Nanne leads the Vees with six points (1-5=6) in four playoff games against Salmon Arm. In 45 games this season, Nanne has 41 points (19-22=41) points.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska-Omaha: Seeler finished his freshman season as Nebraska-Omaha fell to Minnesota State in three games in the first round of the WCHA Playoffs. Seeler played in 31 games recording 9 points (2-7=9) and was plus-7.


RW Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Has one goal in eleven playoff games with Bern. For the season, Bertschy has played in 41 games with four goals and two assists for a plus-1 rating.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Topped Frolunda in the best of seven first round of the Elitserien Playoffs, 4-3 , and next faces Earjestad. In 53 games, Gunnarsson had 17 points (6-11=17).


Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Topped Frolunda in the best of seven first round of the Elitserien Playoffs, 4-3, and next faces Farjestad. Gustafsson finished the regular season ranked fourth amongst all Elite League goalies in GAA and fifth in SV%, having stopped 787-of-847 shots.

Stephen Michalek - Cedar Rapids (USHL): Did not play last week. Has a 3.09 goals-against average, .900 save percentage, and a 7-6-3 record.
