Houston Aeros 2012-13 Record: 30-21-4-4, 68 points, Third Place in South Division

The Houston Aeros, the Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, earned three points during a pair of weekend games in Charlotte to remain in third place in the AHL's South Division.

Charlotte claimed a 2-1 shootout victory against the Aeros Saturday. LW Matt Kassian scored for Houston, but Checkers G John Muse stopped 31-of-32 shots in regulation before blocking all four Aeros shootout attempts. Houston G John Curry made 33 saves in regulation and stopped two-of-three in the shootout.

The Aeros host Abbotsford tomorrow at 7:05 p.m., before visiting San Antonio Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Canadian Hockey Leagues

LW Raphael Bussieres - Baie-Comeau, (QMJHL): The Wild's second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft recorded a goal, five assists and a plus-5 rating in two games last week, including a five-point game (1-4=5) in an 8-1 win vs. Sherbrooke Saturday. In 58 games, he has 66 points (27-39=66) and is plus-26.

D Mathew Dumba - Red Deer (WHL): Minnesota's first-round pick in June's NHL Entry Draft netted two goals and two assists in three games last week. In 61 games, he has 42 points (16-26=42) and a plus-11 rating.

C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa/Belleville (OHL): Graovac tallied three points (2-1=3) in four games. In 57 games, has 69 points (38-31=69) and is plus-6

D Colton Jobke - Regina (WHL): Jobke returned to the lineup with a goal and assist in four games. In 29 games, Jobke has 18 points (3-15=18).


D John Draeger - MIchigan State (CCHA): Tallied an assist in three games, as the Spartans upset Alaska in Fairbanks last weekend. Michigan State will visit Oxford to face Miami in the CCHA Quarterfinal round this weekend.

RW Adam Gilmour - Muskegon (USHL): Minnesota's fourth-round selection in June's NHL Entry Draft recorded a goal in three games last week. Leads Muskegon in assists (23), points (41), and plus/minus (plus-18) rating.

LW Erik Haula - U. of Minnesota (WCHA): Haula tallied four points (1-3=4) as the Gophers swept two games from Bemidji State to claim a share of the WCHA title. Minnesota will face Bemidji again this weekend in the first round of the WCHA Playoffs.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (CCHA): Named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team this week. Notre Dame is ranked No. 12 in the country and will host Bowling Green in the CCHA Quarterfinals this weekend.

LW Louis Nanne - Penticton (BCHL): Skated in one game last week as Penticton is the No. 3 ranked team in the BCHL with a record of 35-16-0-5.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska-Omaha: Skated in two losses at Minnesota Duluth last weekend. The Mavericks will visit Minnesota State this weekend to start the WCHA Playoffs.


RW Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss):
Has one goal in five playoff games with Bern. For the season Bertschy has played in 41 games with four goals and two assists for a plus-1 rating.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Lulea will face Frolunda in the Tournament Elitserien Playoffs. Gunnarsson has a plus-11 rating in 53 games played this season.


Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (SEL):
Lulea will face Frolunda in the Tournament Elitserien Playoffs. Gustafsson finished the regular season ranked fourth amongst all Swedish Elite League goalies in goals-against average and fifth in save percentage, having stopped 787-of-847 shots.

Stephen Michalek - Cedar Rapids (USHL): Did not play last week. Has a 3.09 goals-against average, .900 save percentage, and a 7-6-3 record.
