HOUSTON AEROS (35-23-1-4, 2nd in West Division) –
The Aeros went 2-2-0-0 in four games last week as they dropped a 5-4 decision to Milwaukee, beat Texas 4-3 in OT and Oklahoma City 5-0, and then fell 3-2 to Rockford. C Patrick O’Sullivan led the offensive attack with nine points (3-6=9). G Matt Hackett registered a 1.52 GAA, a .942 SV% and one shutout in two starts. Overall, RW Jon DiSalvatore ranks first among Aeros skaters with 43 points (15-28=43) in 63 games. Hackett’s 14 wins, 2.32 GAA and .916 SV% are currently team bests. This week the Aeros host Rockford on Wednesday and Syracuse on Friday, play at Texas on Saturday, and finish off the week with a home game vs. Abbotsford on Sunday.

O’Sullivan was named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Month for February. In 12 games he recorded 18 points (9-9=18) and had a hand in 46% of Houston’s 39 goals during the month.

Canadian Hockey Leagues

LW Brett Bulmer - Kelowna (WHL):
Second round pick (39th overall) in 2010 Draft suffered a leg injury and has not played the last two weeks. His season point total is 47 (18-29=47) in 54 games.  

D Josh Caron - Kamloops (WHL): The 2010 free agent signing has one goal through 19 games this season. He served a three-game suspension last week and is eligible to return on Wednesday. He missed 41 games earlier in the year with a broken collar bone. 

LW Kris Foucault - Calgary (WHL): The fourth round pick (103rd overall) in the 2009 Draft posted two goals and an assist on on Wednesday for his fourth multi-goal game of the season. He leads all Hitmen in scoring with 44 points on 22 goals and 22 assists.   

D Colton Jobke - Kelowna (WHL): The 2010 free agent signing has a goal and seven assists through 41 games and is a +3 on the season. 

D Bjorn Krupp - Belleville (OHL): The 2009 free agent signing has tied his point total of 11 from last season with a goal and 10 assists. He has appeared in 52 games this season. 

RW Dylen McKinlay - Chilliwack (WHL): The seventh round pick (189th overall) in the 2010 NHL Draft owns four goals and 14 assists in 44 games.  

C Anthony Hamburg - Omaha (USHL): The seventh round pick (193rd overall) in the 2009 Draft left Colgate University after playing seven games and notching three assists. He has joined Omaha of the USHL where he's played 16 games and scored 10 points (4-6=10). He was named the Lancers' Old Chicago Player of the Month for January.    

LW Erik Haula - Minnesota (WCHA): The seventh round pick (182nd overall) in 2009 registered a three point night on Saturday by notching a goal and two assists in a win over Michigan Tech. He leads the Gophers with 18 assists and ranks second in points (6-18=24). He's a +11 on the season.

D Sean Lorenz - Notre Dame (CCHA): Fourth round pick (115th overall) in 2008 picked up his ninth assist of the season to bring his point total to 13 (4-9=13). He leads team defensemen with a +25 rating.

D Kyle Medvec - Vermont (HE): Fourth round pick (102nd overall) in 2006 did not play last week due to injury. He's totaled six points (2-4=6) in 26 games thus far this season.

F Jason Zucker - Denver (WCHA): Second round selection (59th overall) in 2010 Draft registered a four-point weekend by tallying two goals on Saturday and two assists on Friday. He now owns 20 goals and 18 assists in 32 games and ranks first in WCHA play in scoring and tied for first in goals. He has twice been named the WCHA Freshman of the Week.


F Mikael Granlund - HIFK Helsinki (Finland):
The first round selection (ninth overall) in 2010 racked up five assists through four games last week, including a pair of two-assist nights. He has scored seven goals and 25 assists for 32 points in 35 games this season. He missed 21 games earlier in the season with an injury.

RW Johan Larsson - Brynas (Sweden): The second round selection (56th overall) in the 2010 Draft notched an assist last week to bring his point total to eight (4-4=8) in 41 Elite League games. He is a +4 on the season. 

RW Mikko Lehtonen - Skelleftea (Sweden): Picked up in a trade with Boston on Tuesday in exchange for G Anton Khudobin, Lehtonen leads the Swedish Elite League with 29 goals and ranks second in scoring (29-28=57). He picked up two goals and three assists in five games last week.    

F Jere Sallinen - Blues Espoo (Finland): The sixth round selection (163rd overall) in the 2009 Draft has five goals and seven assists through 51 games.


Dennis Endras - Augsberger (Germany):
The 2010 free agent won his only start last week in a 32-save effort. He lowered his goals against average to 3.13 and raised his save percentage to .900.    

Johan Gustafsson - VIK (Sweden): The sixth round pick (159th overall) in the 2010 Draft  currently owns a 2.30 goals against average and a .910 save percentage, ranking sixth in the league in GAA and eighth in SV%.

Darcy Kuemper - Red Deer (WHL): The sixth round pick (161st overall) in 2009 went 1-1-0 last week, putting his record at 39-11-4. His lone loss came in a 1-0 game in which he stopped 26 of 27 shots. He leads the league in every goaltending category including: wins, goals against average (1.89), save percentage (.932) and shutouts (10). He has been named the CHL Goalie of the Week three times and the WHL Player of the Week once. He was the WHL Goalie of the Month in January.
