HOUSTON AEROS (22-17-6-1, 6th in West Division) –
The Aeros had a great return from the AHL All-Star Break, sweeping the Abbotsford Heat to move into fifth in the West Division this weekend. Houston traveled to British Columbia and dominated in a 7-1 win Friday night. D Maxim Noreau tied a franchise record with five points (2-3=5) and the Aeros tied a franchise record with five PPGs, while G Wade Dubielewicz saved 26-of-27 to earn his 10th win of the season. The Aeros had a more difficult game Saturday night, but still came away with two points, topping the Heat in OT, 5-4. D Brandon Rogers scored the GWG in OT, C Cody Almond
added three assists and Noreau had two points to help Dubielewicz earn the win. Noreau was honored for his stellar performance, being named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week Monday for totaling seven points (3-4=7) in two-games. The Aeros remain on the road this week, traveling to face Chicago Wednesday, Milwaukee Friday and Peoria Saturday.
