Wild Prospects Report - Jan. 23

The Houston Aeros, the Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, skated in Saint Paul with the Wild last week before continuing AHL play. The Aeros joined Wild players for intra-squad scrimmages Monday and Wednesday, before back-to-back games on the weekend.

The Aeros visited Chicago Saturday and dropped a 3-1 decision to the Wolves. Center Carson McMillan scored the lone Aeros goal and goalie Matt Hackett stopped 32-of-34 shots in the loss. Sunday, Houston visited Peoria and fell to the Rivermen in a 6-2 defeat. Recently assigned forwards Jake Dowell and Stephane Veilleux each scored a shorthanded goal for the Aeros, while Hackett made 19 saves in the loss.

The Aeros remain on the road and visit Milwaukee Wednesday, before playing in Grand Rapids Friday and Saturday.

Wild Prospects Update

Canadian Hockey Leagues

LW Raphael Bussieres - Baie-Comeau (QMJHL): The Wild’s second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft did not skate last week. In 43 games, he has 47 points (20-27=47) and is a plus-19.

D Mathew Dumba - Red Deer (WHL): Minnesota’s first-round pick in June’s NHL Entry Draft participated in Wild Training Camp and has been a healthy scratch in the Wild’s first three games of the season. Before joining the Wild, the defenseman had 23 points (10-13=23) in 47 games with Red Deer.

C Tyler Graovac - Belleville (OHL): Netted four points (2-2=4) and a plus-5 rating in two games with the Bulls last week. In 35 games, he has 24 goals and 20 assists.

D Colton Jobke - Regina (WHL): Skated in two games with the Pats last week. He has 16 points (2-14=16) and 48 PIM's in 25 games.


D John Draeger - Michigan State (CCHA): Skated in the Spartans’ two losses to Ferris State last week. The freshman has five points (1-4=5) in 24 games on the season.

RW Adam Gilmour - Muskegon (USHL): Minnesota’s fourth-round selection in the June’s NHL Entry Draft totaled an assist and a plus-1 rating in two games for the Lumberjacks last week. He has 29 points (12-17=29) and is a plus-14 in 39 games.

LW Erik Haula - University of Minnesota (WCHA): Returned from injury and registered a goal, two assists and a plus-2 rating in a win and tie vs. North Dakota on the weekend. Missed the prior three games with an upper-body injury suffered Dec. 30. In 21 games, he has 29 points (10-19=29) for the No. 1 ranked Gophers.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (CCHA): Recorded two goals and a plus-1 rating in Notre Dame’s losses vs. Alaska on the weekend. In 15 games, the freshman has seven goals and five assists. has a feature on Lucia's success at the college level and the recent World Junior Championship.

LW Louis Nanne - Penticton (BCHL): Skated in one game with Penticton last week. In 32 games, he has 13 goals and 13 assists. Penticton is the No. 2 ranked team in the BCHL with a record of 28-11-0-3.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska Omaha (WCHA): The Mavericks did not play last week. In 21 games, he has seven points (2-5=7) and is plus-7 for the No. 14 ranked Mavs.


RW Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Skated in three games last week. Bertsch has three goals and two assists in 29 games for Bern of the Swiss Elite League.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Scored a goal and recorded a plus-1 rating in two games with Lulea last week.. Has 12 points (6-6=11) in 40 games.


Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Allowed two goals in a victory last week. Ranks second among all Swedish Elite League goalies in goals-against average (1.73 GAA) and sixth in save percentage (.926 SV%), having stopped 549-of-593 shots.

Stephen Michalek - Cedar Rapids (USHL): Suffered a loss for Cedar Rapids last week. Has a 3.17 goals-against average, .899 save percentage, and a 7-6-2 record.
