Houston Aeros 2012-13 Record: 22-17-4-3, 51 points, Third Place in South Division

The Houston Aeros, the Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, remained in third place in the South Division after three home games during the last week.

On Friday, the Aeros played their first game in Houston in 18 days, falling to the Texas Stars, 2-1. Winger Johan Larsson netted the Aeros’ lone goal, while G Darcy Kuemper made 22 saves in the loss.

On Saturday, the Aeros earned a 3-2 victory versus Rockford. Defenseman Chay Genoway posted two assists and a plus-3 rating in the victory, while G Matt Hackett stopped 34-of-36 shots to earn the victory.

Houston suffered a 5-2 loss to San Antonio Monday. Leading-scorer Jason Zucker netted a goal and assist, while Hackett made 22 saves in the game.

This week, the Aeros hit the road for four away games. Houston visits Grand Rapids Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT, before traveling to Milwaukee for a 7 p.m. contest Friday. The Aeros visit Rockford at 7:05 p.m. Saturday and head to Cedar Park to face the Texas Stars Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Canadian Hockey Leagues

LW Raphael Bussieres - Baie-Comeau (QMJHL): The Wild’s second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft tallied three points (2-1=3) in two games last week. In 45 games, he has 50 points (22-28=50) and is plus-20.

D Mathew Dumba - Red Deer (WHL): Minnesota’s first-round pick in June’s NHL Entry Draft returned to Red Deer and netted two points (1-1=2) and a plus-2 rating in two games after being a healthy scratch in the Wild’s first four games. The defenseman has 25 points (11-14=25) in 45 games with Red Deer.

C Tyler Graovac - Belleville (OHL): Netted two assists in three games with Belleville last week. He has 46 points (24-22=46) in 41 games.

D Colton Jobke - Regina (WHL): Did not skate for the Pats last week. He has played in 25 games, scoring two goals and 14 assists.


D John Draeger - Michigan State (CCHA): Skated in the Spartans’ weekend losses to Michigan. The freshman has five points (1-4=5) in 28 games.

RW Adam Gilmour - Muskegon (USHL): Minnesota’s fourth-round selection in the June’s NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist in the Lumberjacks’ weekend losses to Youngstown and Chicago. In 44 games, he has 34 points (14-20=34) and a plus-16.

LW Erik Haula - University of Minnesota (WCHA): The Gophers did not play last week. Leads the Gophers in points (31) and assists (20). Minnesota is ranked No. 1 in the country.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (CCHA): Netted a goal in Notre Dame’s loss and tie at Ohio State over the weekend. He has 17 points (9-8=16) in 19 games. Notre Dame is ranked No. 12 in the country.

LW Louis Nanne - Penticton (BCHL): Tallied three assists in the Vees’ 11-0 victory versus Coquitlam Saturday. Nanne has 30 points (13-17=30) in 35 games. Penticton is the No. 2 ranked team in the BCHL with a record of 31-11-0-3.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska Omaha (WCHA): Skated in the Mavericks’ overtime loss versus Michigan Tech on Saturday. The defenseman has 7 points (2-5=7) and is plus-7 in 24 games. Nebraska-Omaha is ranked No. 15 in the country.


RW Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Skated in two games last week. Bertsch has three goals and two assists in 34 games for Bern of the Swiss Elite League.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Skated in two games with Lulea last week. Has 12 points (6-6=12) and is plus-6 in 43 games.


Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Allowed two goals in a loss last week. Ranks third amongst all Swedish Elite League goalies in goals-against average (1.73 GAA) and fifth in save percentage (.930 SV%), having stopped 677-of-728 shots.

Stephen Michalek - Cedar Rapids (USHL): Did not start for Cedar Rapids last week. Has a 3.09 goals-against average, .900 save percentage, and a 7-6-3 record.
