Houston Aeros 2012-13 Record: 28-20-4-3, 63 points, Third Place in South Division

The Houston Aeros, the Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, split a home-and-home series with the Oklahoma City Barons over the weekend to remain in third place in the AHL’s South Division.

On Friday, the Aeros finished an eight-game road trip with a visit to Oklahoma City, falling in a 4-3 game. Houston scored three, third-period goals to mount a comeback but couldn’t find the equalizer. C David McIntyre scored twice to lead the Aeros, while G Matt Hackett made 26 saves in the loss.

The Aeros returned to Houston Saturday and earned a 2-1 victory in front of 12,367 fans. Hackett led the way with 36 saves, while D Steven Kampfer scored and RW Dan DaSilva scored and tallied an assist in his Aeros debut.

This week, the Aeros travel to Abbotsford for games with the Heat Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m. CT.

Canadian Hockey Leagues

LW Raphael Bussieres - Baie-Comeau, (QMJHL): The Wild's second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft recorded a plus-2 rating in one game last week. In 52 games, he has 58 points (24-34=58) and a plus-23 rating.

D Mathew Dumba - Red Deer (WHL): Minnesota’s first-round pick in June’s NHL Entry Draft netted three assists and a plus-2 rating in four games.

C Tyler Graovac - Ottawa/Belleville (OHL): Totaled seven points (4-3=7) and a plus-4 rating in four games last week. He now has 62 points (35-27=62) in 50 contests.

D Colton Jobke - Regina (WHL): Did not skate for the Pats last week. He has played in 25 games scoring 2 goals along with 14 assists.


John Draeger - Michigan State (CCHA): Netted two assists and a plus-1 rating as Michigan State split a weekend series at Alaska. The freshman has played in 34 games, totaling 8 points (1-7=8).

RW Adam Gilmour - Muskegon (USHL): Minnesota’s fourth-round selection in the June’s NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist in two games last week. He leads Muskegon in goals (17), assists (22), points (39) and plus/minus rating (plus-19).

LW Erik Haula - U. of Minnesota (WCHA): Scored two goals and recorded a plus-4 rating in the Gophers’ win and tie versus Minnesota Duluth on the weekend. Haula leads the Gophers in points (39), assists (24) and ranks second in goals (15). Minnesota is ranked No. 2 in the country.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (CCHA): Skated in Notre Dame’s weekend ties at Western Michigan. In his freshman season, he has 19 points (10-9=19) in 25 games. Notre Dame is ranked No. 12 in the country.

LW Louis Nanne - Penticton (BCHL): Scored a goal in two games last week. Nanne has 38 points (18-20=38) in 42 games. Penticton is the No. 3 ranked team in the BCHL with a record of 34-14-0-4.

D Nick Seeler - Nebraska-Omaha (WCHA): Nebraska-Omaha did not play last week. He has played in 28 games, totaling 8 points(2-6=8) and a plus-6 rating. The Mavericks are ranked No. 15 in the country.


RW Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Scored a goal in three games with Bern last week. Bertschy has four goals and two assists for Bern of the Swiss Elite League.

D Daniel Gunnarsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Netted an assist and a plus-3 rating in three games with Lulea last week. He's skated in 51 games, scoring six goals, nine assists and a plus-9 rating.


Johan Gustafsson - Lulea HF (SEL): Allowed four goals in a win and loss last week. Gustafsson ranks fourth amongst all Swedish Elite League goalies in goals-against average (1.74 GAA) and fifth in save percentage (.929 SV%), having stopped 719-of-774 shots.

Stephen Michalek - Cedar Rapids (USHL): Did not play last week. Has a 3.09 goals-against average, .900 save percentage, and a 7-6-3 record.
