HOUSTON AEROS –
The Aeros had a busy final week of the season, going 2-2-0 to end the season 34-34-7-5. Houston started the week hosting Rockford, falling to the IceHogs, 3-1, Tuesday. J-M Daoust scored the lone goal for the Aeros while Darcy Kuemper
stopped 14-of-17 shots in the loss. The Aeros rebounded with a 5-3 win in San Antonio Thursday night. Chad Rau
tallied two goals and an assist, Andy Hilbert added a goal and assist and Anton Khudobin made 28 saves to earn the win. The Aeros sent their fans home happy with a 4-2 win over the Texas Stars in the home finale Saturday. Hilbert and Daoust each registered two points, while Khudobin made 18 saves in the win. Houston couldn’t continue the win streak in its final game of the season, falling to the Rampage, 3-2, in San Antonio Sunday. Houston went for the win to improve its position in the standings, but gave up the empty-net GWG with 19 seconds left in regulation. Khudobin made a career-high 52 saves in the loss.

D Tyler Cuma - Ottawa (OHL):
Finished the postseason with five assists in 12 games as Ottawa was eliminated by Mississauga in the second round of the OHL playoffs in a seven-game series. Cuma finished the regular season with five goals and 17 assists in 52 games, and a +9 rating. LW Kris Foucault - Calgary (WHL):
Scored two goals, including the overtime game-winner as Calgary clinched its 4-2 series win over Medicine Hat in the second round of the WHL playoffs. Thus far, he has totaled six goals and four assists through 13 playoff games. Foucault finished the regular season with 22 goals and 21 assists for 43 points in 68 games. Calgary won the last nine games of the season to clinch the best regular season record in the WHL. D Marco Scandella - Val-D'Or (QMJHL):
Second round selection (55th overall) in 2008 signed an amateur tryout contract with Houston of the American Hockey League on March 31. He totaled six points on two goals and four assists in six playoff games to lead all team defensemen. Val-D'Or dropped its opening round series against Rouyn-Noranda, 4-2. Scandella finished the regular season with nine goals and 22 assists in 31 games. College/USHLC Anthony Hamburg - Omaha (USHL):
Seventh round pick (193rd overall) in 2009 Draft appeared in one playoff game as Omaha swept Tri-City in the first round of the OHL playoffs. The Colgate recruit finished the regular season with five goals and 17 assists in 54 games.LW Erik Haula - Omaha (USHL):
The University of Minnesota recruit and seventh round pick (182nd overall) in 2009 NHL Draft posted six assists in three playoff games to tie for the League lead in playoff scoring. He finished the regular season ranked tied for fifth in scoring with 72 points (28-44=72). D Sean Lorenz - Notre Dame (CCHA):
Fourth round pick (115th overall) finished his season with two goals and an assist in 34 games.D Kyle Medvec - Vermont (HE):
Fourth round pick in 2006 (102nd overall) saw his season come to an end in the first round of the NCAA tournament in a 3-2 loss to Wisconsin. Medvec led all Vermont defensemen in scoring with five goals and 10 assists in 38 games.Goaltenders
Matt Hackett - Plymouth (OHL):
The third round draft pick (77th overall) last summer went 3-4-0-0 with a 3.36 goals against average and a .919 save percentage as Plymouth was swept by Windsor in its second round playoff series. He was named the OHL's top goaltender for the month of March after going 5-2-1-0 with two shutouts, a 2.08 goals against average and a .941 save percentage. Hackett finished the regular season with a 33-18-1-2 record, a 2.62 goals against average and a .925 save percentage. He signed an entry level contract with the Wild on March 16. Darcy Kuemper - Red Deer (WHL):
The sixth round pick (161st overall) signed an amateur tryout contract with the Houston Aeros on March 31 and went 2-1-0 with a 2.41 goals against average and a .886 save percentage in four games. Kuemper finished the regular season in Red Deer with a 28-23-0-4 record, a 2.73 goals against average and a .908 save percentage.
