HOUSTON AEROS: (50-24-3-3, 2nd place West Division) – The Aeros went 3-1-0-0 in four games last week but still finished two points behind first-place Milwaukee in the West Division…RW Kirby Law and C Erik Westrum each recorded a goal and an assist in Houston’s 5-3 victory at Iowa on Sunday…LW Peter Olvecky and RW Matt Foy also scored and C Patrick O’Sullivan chipped in three assists…G Josh Harding made 31 saves…Chicago raced out to a five-goal lead and held on for a 6-5 victory over the Aeros at Allstate Arena on Saturday...D Curtis Murphy and O’Sullivan each scored twice, Law also scored and G Seamus Kotyk made 23 saves…LW Roman Voloshenko added three assists…RW Joel Ward and Foy each scored their second goals of the game 37 seconds apart late in regulation to force overtime, and Voloshenko scored the clinching goal in the eighth shootout round in Houston’s 5-4 victory over Omaha at Toyota Center on Friday...Harding made 31 saves…Westrum tallied a goal and an assist, Ward and Foy each scored first-period goals in the Aeros 4-1 victory over Omaha last Tuesday...Kotyk made 26 saves.

The Aeros’ 106 points were the third most in team history and the club reached the 50-win plateau for the third time in franchise history and first since they went 54-15-13 in 1998-99 en route to a Turner Cup title…Houston finished the season with 22 come-from-behind victories, including three of their last four wins…The Aeros posted a record of 30-6-2-2 at Toyota Center during the regular season tying Grand Rapids for the most home wins (30) and points (64) in the AHL…RW Kirby Law collected 110 points (43-67-110) to set a new team record and won the John B. Sollenberger Trophy as the AHL’s top scorer…C Erik Westrum ranked second with 98 points (34-64=98)…C Patrick O’Sullivan, who was named the winner of the Dudley “Red” Garrett Memorial Award as Rookie of the Year, finished third in the AHL in goals with 47 and fourth in scoring with 93 points (47-46=93)...His 47 goals established a new team record…Westrum’s point total ranked tied for third all-time in franchise history and O’Sullivan’s total ranked fifth…LW Roman Voloshenko ranked third among rookies in goals with 33 and tied for ninth in scoring with 60 points (33-27=60)…He ranked tied for fourth in the AHL with 20 power play goals…D Curtis Murphy ranked second in defensemen scoring with 67 points (14-53=67)…G Josh Harding posted a 29-8-0 record and ranked tied for first in the AHL with a .922 save percentage, fourth in wins and 13th with a 2.68 GAA.

Houston opens the Calder Cup Playoffs against the Peoria Rivermen starting Friday, April 21 at Toyota Center… The Aeros went 6-4-0-0 versus Peoria in the regular season, with a 4-1-0-0 home mark and a 2-3-0-0 road mark…After winning the first game at Carver Arena, Houston lost three of the next four…At home, the Aeros were dominant, winning the first four meetings by a combined 22-6 margin before falling 3-1 in the season series finale on April 2.
