Iowa Wild 2015-16 Record: 1-2-1-1, 4 points, Fourth Place In Central Division


The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 1-1-1 in
 three games last week. The Wild dropped the first contest 4-1 against the Lake
 Erie Monsters at Quicken Loans Arena on Friday (10/16). F Michael Keranen
 scored the team’s lone goal with assists from D Mike Reilly and F Jordan Schroeder. G Jeremy Smith stopped 40-of-42 shots.

Iowa earned its first win of the season with a 1-0 shootout victory in Lake Erie on Saturday (10/17). G Leland Irving made his season debut, stopping all 37 shots through overtime and made four-of-six saves in the shootout. Forwards Keranen, Christoph Bertschy and Brady Brassart each scored a shootout goal. The Wild earned a point with a 3-2 overtime loss against the Milwaukee Admirals at Wells Fargo Arena on Tuesday (10/20). F Zack Mitchell opened the game’s scoring, registering a goal on a penalty shot. F Matt Carey netted the team’s second goal with assists from Brassart and F Brett Bulmer. Irving made 32 saves through overtime to earn the loss.

Brassart leads the Wild with four points (2-2=4) in five games. Smith is 0-2-1 with a 3.28 GAA and a .922 SV% in three games and ranks 10th in the AHL in minutes played. Irving is 1-0-1 with a 1.42 GAA and a .958 SV% in two games and ranks fourth in the league in SV% and fifth in GAA. The Wild travels to Rockford on Wednesday before hosting Texas on Saturday and Sunday this week.

D Tanner Faith - Moose Jaw (WHL): Tallied a goal, plus-three rating and six penalty minutes in three games...Leads the Warriors in penalty minutes and ranks T-1st amongst defensemen in goals and third in scoring...Acquired by Moose Jaw from the Kootenay Ice (9/23)...Minnesota’s fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

C Pavel Jeny - Sudbury (OHL): Recorded an assist in thee games last week...In his second season with Sudbury...Wild’s seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
