IOWA WILD 2015-16 RECORD: 3-11-1-2, 9 POINTS



The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, fell 5-2 against the Grand Rapids Griffins at Van Andel Arena on Wednesday (11/11). F Brett Bulmer and F Zack Mitchell each netted a goal while F Kurtis Gabriel tallied an assist. G Leland Irving stopped 19-of-23 shots. The Wild suffered a 5-2 loss in its first contest against the IceHogs on Friday at Wells Fargo Arena (11/13). F Michael Keranen and Gabriel registered a goal apiece. F Brady Brassart, D Maxime Fortunus, Mitchell and F Ruslan Fedotenko each recorded an assist while Irving made 35 saves. Iowa dropped its second contest against Rockford, 4-3, on Saturday in Des Moines (11/14). F Brett Sutter (0-2=2) and F Grayson Downing (1-1=2) led the team with two points. Mitchell and Keranen also scored a goal each and G Jeremy Smith stopped 17-of-21 shots.

F Christoph Bertschy (2-5=7) ranks second with seven points. D Mike Reilly (2-3=5), Mitchell (3-2=5) and Fortunus (1-4=5) rank T-3rd with five points. Gabriel ranks third in the AHL with 43 penalty minutes. Irving is 2-4-2 with a 2.57 GAA, .920 SV% and one shutout in eight games. Smith is 1-7-1 with a 3.21 GAA and a .912 SV% in nine games and ranks T-2nd in the AHL with 301 saves and 10th in minutes played.

The Wild will host the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday and Saturday before traveling to Chicago on Sunday.

CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUES

D Gustav Bouramman - Sault Ste. Marie (OHL): Tallied an assist in two games last week…Ranks T-1st amongst Sault Ste. Marie defensemen in scoring and ranks fifth on the team in assists and in penalty minutes…Minnesota’s seventh-round selection in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL): Scored a goal and earned a plus-2 rating in three games last week…Ranks T-3rd in the WHL in game-winning goals (3), T-10th in plus/minus rating and T-13th in goals…Shares team lead in goals, T-3rd in plus/minus rating and sixth in points…Wild’s sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

D Tanner Faith - Moose Jaw (WHL): Recorded an assist and three shots in Moose Jaw’s 4-1 loss at Prince Albert (11/17)…Ranks T-1st amongst Warriors defensemen in goals and third in scoring while third on the team in penalty minutes… Has served as an alternate captain for 20-of-21 games this season…Acquired by Moose Jaw from the Kootenay Ice (9/23)…Minnesota’s fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

C Pavel Jenys - Sudbury (OHL): Sudbury suffered losses in all three games last week…Ranks fifth on the Wolves in scoring…Wild’s seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

C Chase Lang - Vancouver (WHL): Registered three assists in four games last week…Has tallied at least one point in six-of-nine games with the Giants, totaling seven assists…Leads the team in assists and T-2nd in scoring and in penalty minutes…Traded to the Vancouver Giants from Calgary (10/27)…Registered seven points (2-5=7) and 20 penalty minutes in 14 games with the Hitmen…Recorded six points (2-4=6) in eight games (10/2-10/18)…Minnesota’s sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL): Tallied an assist, a plus-3 rating and two penalty minutes in three games…Ranks second on the team in penalty minutes and is T-2nd amongst defensemen in assists and third in scoring…Netted his first WHL goal against Rylan Parenteau in the Raiders’ 3-2 overtime loss vs. Victoria (10/30)…Signed as a free agent with the Wild, September 23, 2014.

D Louis Belpedio - Miami University (NCHC): Registered four points (1-3=4) and two penalty minutes in two games as Miami went 0-1-1 in its weekend series at North Dakota last weekend…Leads the RedHawks in assists, second in penalty minutes and T-2nd in scoring…Named an alternate captain (9/29)…Minnesota’s third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

D Nicholas Boka - University of Michigan (Big-10): Recorded an assist in Michigan’s 7-3 victory vs. Niagara (11/13)…Ranks T-3rd amongst team defensemen in scoring…Earned his first collegiate point with an assist in the Wolverines 3-2 win vs. Mercyhurst (10/18)…Wild’s sixth-round selection in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Ales Stezka - Sioux Falls (USHL): Went 1-0-0 in two games last week, stopping 29-of-32 shots faced…Ranks 10th in the league with 228 saves and 12th in minutes played…Earned his first USHL win, stopping 19-of-22 shots in the Stampede’s 5-3 victory over Sioux City (9/26)…Minnesota’s fourth-round selection in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
