Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 5-12-1-0, 11 points, T-4th Place in West Division



The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 1-1-1 in three games last weekend. The Wild suffered a 4-3 overtime loss against the IceHogs on Friday at BMO Harris Bank Center (11/21). D Justin Falk led the team with two points (1-1=2). Forwards Tyler Graovac and Kurtis Gabriel also scored for the Wild while G Johan Gustafsson made 37 saves through overtime. Iowa lost its second match of the weekend, 3-2, against Chicago at Allstate Arena on Saturday (11/22). Graovac and F Michael Keranen led the night with two assists each and Gustafsson stopped 34-of-37 shots. The Wild won its third contest in a 2-1 shootout against Milwaukee on Sunday (11/23). Graovac scored during regulation while F Zack Phillips scored the shootout winner. G John Curry made 33 saves through overtime and stopped all three shootout attempts to earn his first win of the season. Graovac ranks first on the Wild with 15 points (6-9=15). F Jordan Schroeder (4-8=12) and Keranen (3-9=12) rank T-2nd with 12 points. Sutter ranks fourth with 10 points (3-7=10). Gustafsson is 4-8-1 with a 3.49 GAA and a .894 SV% in 13 games. Curry is 1-4-0 with a 3.16 GAA and a .901 SV% in six games. The Wild has a three-game road trip this week with stops in Rockford (Wed.), Texas (Sat.) and San Antonio (Sun.).

Canadian Hockey Leagues

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded five points (1-4=5) in four games last week.

D Tanner Faith - Kootenay (WHL): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft is currently sidelined with an upper body injury, retroactive to Nov. 1.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL): The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota recorded two shots as Shawinigan went 1-1-0 in two games last week.

C Pavel Jenys - Sudbury (OHL): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist in three games last week.

C Chase Lang - Calgary (WHL): The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered five PIM in three games last week.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL): The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota in September and ranks T-5th on the Raiders in PIM.

College/USHL/High School

D Louis Belpedio - Miami University of Ohio (NCHC): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist and two PIM in two games as Miami won its weekend series vs. Western Michigan.

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has three assists in eight games this season.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft has 2 PIM this season, while Michigan State split its weekend series at Ohio State.

C Adam Gilmour
- Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft registered three assists and a plus-4 rating in two games as Boston College went 2-0-0 in those contests.

LW Mario Lucia
- Notre Dame (Hockey East): The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied a goal and two PIM as Notre Dame went 0-1-1 in two games vs. U. Mass. Lowell.

LW Louis Nanne - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft did not play in RPI’s 2-1 win at New Hampshire (11/25), but leads the team in goals and is T-1st in scoring.

C Avery Peterson
- Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft is T-3rd on the team in goals and T-5th in scoring.

D Carson Soucy
- Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft tallied three shots as Minnesota Duluth went 1-1-0 in two games last weekend.

RW Alex Tuch
- Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded his fourth goal of the season in Boston’s 4-1 win vs. Maine (11/22).

Europe

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Minnesota's sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft tallied four points (2-2=4) in three games last week.

D Pontus Sjalin - Leksands J20 (Super Elit): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks fourth on the team in assists.

Goaltenders

Alexandre Belanger - Rouyn-Noranda (QMJHL)
- The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft won his sole start last week vs. Victoriaville (11/23).

Steve Michalek - Harvard (ECAC) - The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft went 2-0-0 in two games last week and ranks first in the conference in GAA and SV%.
