Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 4-11-0-0, 8 points, Fifth Place in West Division



The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 2-1-0 in three games last week. The Wild defeated the Admirals, 3-2, at BMO Harris Bradley Center on Wednesday (11/12). F Zack Phillips led the team with two points (1-1=2) as F Tyler Graovac and D Daniel Syvret also scored for Iowa. G Johan Gustafsson made 26 saves to earn the win. Iowa won its first match against Oklahoma City, 4-2, at Wells Fargo Arena on Friday (11/14). Graovac (1-1=2) and F Brett Sutter (1-1=2) tallied two points each while Gustafsson stopped 26-of-28 shots. The Wild suffered a 5-4 loss in its second match against the Barons on Saturday (11/15). F Brett Bulmer (1-1=2) and Syvret (0-2=2) led Iowa with two points each. Graovac, F Joel Rechlicz and Sutter also netted a goal. Gustafsson made 35 saves. F Jordan Schroeder (4-7=11) and Graovac (4-7=11) share the team lead in scoring this season. Sutter ranks third with 10 points (3-7=10) as F Michael Keranen (3-6=9) and F Marc Hagel (6-3=9) rank T-4th on the team with nine points each. Gustafsson is 4-7-0 with a 3.51 GAA and a .891 SV% in 11 games. G John Curry is 0-4-0 with a 3.72 GAA and a .885 SV% in five games. The Wild plays three times this weekend in Rockford (Fri.), in Chicago (Sat.) and hosts Milwaukee (Sun.).

Canadian Hockey Leagues

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded three points (1-2=3) and six PIM in two games last week.

D Tanner Faith - Kootenay (WHL): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft missed the last five Kootenay games due to an upper body injury.

D Dylan Labbe
- Shawinigan (QMJHL): The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota recorded an assist and a plus-5 rating in two games last week and ranks first amongst defensemen on the team in scoring.

C Pavel Jenys
- Sudbury (OHL): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied two points (1-1=2) and five PIM in three games last week…Ranks first on the Wolves in scoring, second in assists and fourth in goals.

C Chase Lang - Calgary (WHL): The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft netted his ninth goal of the season and four PIM in two games last week.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL): The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota in September and ranks fifth on the Raiders in PIM.

College/USHL/High School

D Louis Belpedio - Miami University of Ohio (NCHC): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied two shots and two PIM in two games as Miami split its weekend series at North Dakota.

D Nolan De Jong
- Michigan (Big Ten): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft registered an assist and three shots on goal in Michigan’s 5-2 win vs. American International (11/14).

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft missed four games due to a lower body injury, and has yet to register a point this season.

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft has two goals and four assists in 10 games with the Eagles this year.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East): The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota ranks first in the conference in goals and T-7th in scoring while ranking third on Notre Dame in scoring.

LW Louis Nanne
- Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded a goal and three shots as RPI split its two home games vs. Princeton (3-1, 11/14) and Quinnipiac (1-3, 11/15) and leads the team in goals and T-1st in scoring.

C Avery Peterson - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has four goals and two assists in eight games this season.

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft tallied two shots and two PIM as Minnesota Duluth won its home-and-home series against Minnesota.

RW Alex Tuch
- Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered two points (1-1=2) in two games as the Eagles lost vs. Harvard (11/11) and won at Michigan State (11/14) and T-1st on the team in scoring and T-2nd in goals.

- SC Bern (Swiss): Minnesota's sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft tallied two points (1-1=2) and four PIM in three games last week.

D Pontus Sjalin - Leksands J20 (Sweden): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded three assists and two PIM in two games…Ranks T-2nd on the team in assists.

Alexandre Belanger
- Rouyn-Noranda (QMJHL): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft ranks T-6th amongst goalies in the QMJHL in shutouts, T-14th in GAA and 19th in SV%.

Steve Michalek
- Harvard (ECAC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft went 3-1-0 in four games last week, including his second shutout of the season stopping all 29 shots faced in Harvard’s 2-0 win at Darmouth (11/18).
