Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 2-10-0-0, 4 points, Fifth Place in West Division



The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, had a three-game homestand last week. The Wild suffered a 5-3 loss against Rockford at Wells Fargo Arena on Thursday (11/6). D Stu Bickel and F Brett Sutter led the team with two assists each. Forwards Jordan Schroeder, Brady Brassart and Marc Hagel each netted a goal for Iowa while G John Curry stopped 39-of-44 shots. Iowa dropped its first match against the Chicago Wolves on Saturday, 4-2 (11/8). Hagel (1-1=2) and F Zack Mitchell (1-1=2) led the night with two points apiece and Curry made 25 saves. The Wild lost its second match against the Wolves, 5-1, on Sunday (11/9). Mitchell scored the team’s lone goal with assists from Hagel and D Justin Falk. G Johan Gustafsson stopped 26-of-31 shots. Schroeder ranks T-19th in the AHL in scoring and leads the Wild with 11 points (4-7=11). F Tyler Graovac (1-6=7), F Michael Keranen (3-4=7), Sutter (1-6=7) and Hagel (5-2=7) rank T-2nd on the team with seven points each. Gustafsson is 2-6-0 with a 3.70 GAA and a .884 SV% in eight games while Curry is 0-4-0 with a 3.72 GAA and a .885 SV% in five games. The Wild will visit Milwaukee on Wednesday before hosting Oklahoma City for two games on Friday and Saturday.

Canadian Hockey Leagues

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded three assists, a plus-3 rating and two PIM in two games last week.

D Tanner Faith - Kootenay (WHL): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft missed the last three Kootenay games due to an upper body injury.

D Dylan Labbe
- Shawinigan (QMJHL): The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota recorded two points (1-1=2) and a plus-4 rating in two games last week and ranks T-1st amongst defensemen on the team in scoring and T-2nd in goals.

C Pavel Jenys - Sudbury (OHL): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied two assists in two games last week and ranks T-1st on the Wolves in scoring, second in assists and third in goals.

C Chase Lang
- Calgary (WHL): The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft is T-2nd on the Hitmen in scoring and power-play goals (2), T-3rd in goals and T-4th in assists.

D Hunter Warner
- Prince Albert (WHL): The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota in September and recorded three shots on goal in two games last week.

College/USHL/High School


D Louis Belpedio
- Miami University of Ohio (NCHC): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied his third goal of the season and two PIM in two games as Miami won its weekend series vs. Colorado College.

D Nolan De Jong
- Michigan (Big Ten): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has two assists in seven games this season for Michigan.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft appeared in his first two games of the season, tallying four shots as Michigan State split its weekend series against Ferris State.

C Adam Gilmour
- Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft recorded an assist and seven shots on goal as Boston College lost both its matches last weekend.

LW Mario Lucia
- Notre Dame (Hockey East): The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied four PIM as the Fighting Irish dropped their weekend series at Minnesota and ranks first in the conference in goals and T-3rd in scoring while ranking T-1st on Notre Dame in scoring

LW Louis Nanne - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded an assist in two games as RPI dropped its two home games vs. Harvard (4-0, 11/7) and Dartmouth (2-1, 11/8) and leads the team in scoring and T-1st in goals.

C Avery Peterson
- Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft was named NCHC Rookie of the Week (11/10) after tallying five points (3-2=5) in two games as the Mavericks won their weekend series at Ohio State and ranks T-1st on the team in goals and T-4th in scoring

D Carson Soucy
- Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft had four shots on goal in two games as the Bulldogs won their weekend series at St. Cloud State.

RW Alex Tuch - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft Recorded an assist and two PIM as the Eagles lost at Connecticut (11/5) and vs. Boston University (11/7).

Europe

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Minnesota's sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft tallied three points (2-1=3) in two games last week.

D Pontus Sjalin - Leksands IF (Sweden): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft did not have any games last week.

Goaltenders

Alexandre Belanger - Rouyn-Noranda (QMJHL): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft ranks T-4th amongst goalies in the QMJHL in shutouts, T-11th in GAA, 18th in SV% and T-15th in wins...Earned a shutout in his second start of the season, stopping all 17 shots faced at Halifax (10/2).

Steve Michalek
- Harvard (ECAC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft went 1-0-1 in two games last week, including his first shutout of the season with 14 saves as Harvard won 4-0 at Rensselaer (11/7).
