Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 21-38-1-1, 44 points, Fifth Place in West Division

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, split its two-game road weekend series. The Wild defeated the Texas Stars 2-1 in overtime on Friday at Cedar Park Center (3/6). F Tyler Graovac scored in regulation and netted the OT winner. F Oliver Archambault also scored for Iowa while F Jared Knight and D Jonathon Blum each tallied an assist. G John Curry made 34-of-35 saves to earn the win. Iowa dropped its second road contest against San Antonio 4-1 on Saturday at AT&T Center (3/7). F Kurtis Gabriel scored the Wild’s lone goal with an assist from F Ian Schultz. Curry stopped 31 shots. Graovac leads the Wild in scoring with 40 points (19-21=40) in 58 games this season. F Michael Keranen ranks second with 33 points (9-24=33) and F Marc Hagel ranks T-3rd with 28 points (9-19=28). F Zach Mitchell ranks T-6th in the AHL amongst rookies in goals (15) and T-19th in points (27). Curry is 11-16-0 with a 2.78 GAA and a .915 SV% in 30 games. G Johan Gustafsson is 8-18-1 with a 3.36 GAA and a .896 SV% in 31 games. The Wild begins a six-game homestand hosting Utica on Sunday March 15.


Canadian Hockey Leagues

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft has not played in the last eleven Brandon games due to a lower body injury (Feb.15-current).

D Tanner Faith - Kootenay (WHL):
Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to an upper body injury.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL):
The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota registered four points (2-2=4) in three games last week.

C Pavel Jenys - Sudbury (OHL):
Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft netted an assist in two games last week and has nine points (3-6=9) in the last nine games.

C Chase Lang - Calgary (WHL): The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft did not play in Calgary’s two games last week, but ranks third on the Hitmen in goals and fourth in scoring.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL): The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota is expected to miss the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery.

College/USHL/High School

D Louis Belpedio - Miami University of Ohio (NCHC):
Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied two shots, a plus-2 rating and four PIM in two games as Miami split its weekend series vs. North Dakota. The RedHawks will host Western Michigan in the NCHC Quarterfinal Round (3/13-3/15).

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten):
The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded three assists and four PIM in two games as Michigan lost its weekend series at Penn State.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft notched four shots and four PIM in two games as Michigan State won its weekend series vs. Wisconsin.

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East):
The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft ranks first on the Eagles in power-play goals (5), T-1st in assists and second in scoring. Boston College didn’t play last weekend and will host Vermont in the Hockey East Quarterfinals (3/13-3/15).

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East): The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota recorded three points (1-2=3) and a plus-3 rating in three games as Notre Dame won the opening round (2-1-0) vs. Massachusetts and will visit UMass Lowell for Hockey East Quarterfinals (3/13-3/15).

LW Louis Nanne - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC):
Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft tallied two PIM in three games as RPI won the first round of playoffs at Clarkson (2-1-0) to advance to quarterfinals at St. Lawrence (3/13-3/15).

C Avery Peterson - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC):
The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft registered five shots and two PIM in two games as Nebraska Omaha went 1-0-1 vs. Colorado College last weekend. The Mavericks will host St. Cloud State in the NCHC Quarterfinals (3/13-3/15).

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist and six PIM in two games as Minnesota Duluth split its weekend series at Western Michigan. The Bulldogs will visit Denver for the NCHC Quarterfinals (3/13-3/15).

RW Alex Tuch - Boston College (Hockey East):
The Wild's first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks fourth in the conference in freshmen scoring. Boston College didn’t play last weekend and will host Vermont in the Hockey East Quarterfinals (3/13-3/15).

Europe

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss):
Minnesota's sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft returned to the line-up, tallying an assist in Bern’s 3-0 win in Game 5 (3/10). SC Bern leads Lausanne HC three games to two in the first round of playoffs.

D Pontus Sjalin - Leksands J20 (Super Elit): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks third on the team in assists.

Goaltenders

Alexandre Belanger - Cape-Breton (QMJHL): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft missed Cape-Breton’s last five games with a concussion suffered on Feb. 27.

Kaapo Kahkonen - TUTO Turku (Mestis):
Minnesota's fourth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft leads the league in games played, second in SV% and fourth in GAA.

Steve Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft made 52-of-57 saves in two games as Harvard swept Brown in the first round of playoffs to advance to the quarterfinal round at Yale (3/13-3/15).
