Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 15-23-1-1, 32 points, Fifth Place in West Division
The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 0-3-0 in three games last week. The Wild lost its first match of the week, 1-0, against the Rockford IceHogs on Thursday at Wells Fargo Arena (1/22). G John Curry stopped 41-of-42 shots. Iowa suffered a 4-3 loss against Milwaukee on Friday at BMO Harris Bradley Center (1/23). F Tyler Graovac led the Wild with two points (1-1=2) while F Zack Mitchell and D Matt Dumba each tallied a goal. G Johan Gustafsson made 16 saves. The Wild fell, 4-3, on Saturday against the Grand Rapids Griffins at Van Andel Arena (1/24). Graovac registered his second multi-point game of the week (1-1=2). Mitchell and F Kurtis Gabriel netted a goal apiece while Curry made 26-of-30 saves. Dumba represented Iowa in the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic Jan. 25-26 in Utica. He tallied two assists and a plus-4 rating in Monday’s AHL All-Star Game as the West won 14-12 over the East. Graovac leads the Wild in scoring with 31 points (15-16=31) in 40 games. Keranen ranks second with 28 points (6-22=28) and C Jordan Schroeder ranks third with 26 points (10-16=26). Gustafsson is 7-16-1 with a 3.39 GAA and a .896 SV% in 26 games. Curry is 8-9-0 with a 2.70 GAA and a .919 SV% in 19 games. The Wild plays three homes games this week hosting Grand Rapids (Thurs.) and Hamilton (Fri. and Sat.).


Canadian Hockey Leagues

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL):
The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded four points (3-1=4), a plus-5 rating and four PIM in three games last week.

D Tanner Faith - Kootenay (WHL): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to an upper body injury.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL): The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied an assist, a plus-2 rating and four PIM in two games last week.

C Pavel Jenys - Sudbury (OHL):
Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft has five points (2-3=5) in his last nine games.

C Chase Lang - Calgary (WHL): The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered three points (2-1=3) and a plus-4 rating in three games last week.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL): The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota is expected to miss the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery.

College/USHL/High School

D Louis Belpedio - Miami University of Ohio (NCHC):
Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied five shots on goal and four PIM in two games as Miami split its weekend series vs. Denver.

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded an assist and two PIM in two games as Michigan won its weekend series at Wisconsin.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft registered two shots on goal as Michigan State won its weekend series vs. Ohio State.

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft netted a goal in Boston’s 2-1 win vs. Merrimack (1/21).

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East): The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied a goal and four shots in two games as Notre Dame lost its weekend series at Northeastern.

LW Louis Nanne - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has four goals and three assists for seven points in 18 games this season.

C Avery Peterson - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft ranks second on the team in goals and fourth in scoring.

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded two PIM in two games as Minnesota Duluth earned third place at the North Star College Cup last weekend.

RW Alex Tuch - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks T-2nd on the team in scoring and T-3rd in goals.

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Minnesota's sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft registered three points (1-2=3) and a plus-3 rating in three games last week.

D Pontus Sjalin - Leksands J20 (Super Elit):
The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks third on the team in assists with 13.

Goaltenders

Alexandre Belanger - Cape-Breton (QMJHL):
The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft went 1-1-0 in two games last week, posting a 3-1-0 record with a 2.96 GAA and a .903 SV% in four games with Cape-Breton.

Kaapo Kahkonen - TUTO Turku (Mestis):
Minnesota's fourth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks third in the league in SV% (.925) and fifth in GAA (2.12).

Steve Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft went 1-1-0 in two games last weekend as Harvard split its road games.
