Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 18-37-1-1, 38 points, Fifth Place in West Division

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 1-3-0 in four games last week. Iowa fell in its first match against Charlotte, 4-1, on Wednesday at Time Warner Cable Arena (2/18). D Daniel Syvret scored the Wild’s lone goal with assists from D Jonathon Blum and F Oliver Archambault. G John Curry started the game, stopping 17-of-21 shots in 48:23 to earn the loss while G Johan Gustafsson made all three saves in relief. The Wild lost its second match against the Checkers, 4-2, on Thursday (2/19). Forwards Zack Mitchell and Zack Phillips each tallied a goal for Iowa. Gustafsson made 29-of-33 saves. Iowa defeated Milwaukee, 4-2, on Saturday (2/21). F Tyler Graovac (1-1=2) and F Ruslan Fedotenko (2-0=2) led the Wild with two points apiece. F Brady Brassart also netted a goal and Gustafsson stopped 36 shots. The Wild fell to the Griffins, 6-2, at Wells Fargo Arena on Tuesday (2/24). Archambault and F Marc Hagel each scored a goal while Curry made 23-of-27 saves in 54:58. Gustafsson made two saves in relief to finish the match. Graovac leads the team in scoring with 38 points (17-21=38) in 54 games. F Michael Keranen ranks second with 32 points (9-23=32) and F Jordan Schroeder ranks third with 28 points (10-18=28). Curry is 8-15-0 with a 2.97 GAA and a .909 SV% in 26 games. Gustafsson is 8-18-1 with a 3.36 GAA and a .896 SV% in 31 games. The Wild will visit Lake Erie for back-to-back games Friday and Saturday this week.


Canadian Hockey Leagues

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL):
The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft has not played in the last four Brandon games due to a lower body injury (Feb.15-current).

D Tanner Faith - Kootenay (WHL):
Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to an upper body injury.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL): The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied two goals and a plus-3 rating in two games last week.

C Pavel Jenys - Sudbury (OHL):
Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered five assists in three games last week.

C Chase Lang - Calgary (WHL):
The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft netted three points (1-2=3) and five PIM in three games last week.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL):
The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota is expected to miss the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery.

College/USHL/High School

D Louis Belpedio - Miami University of Ohio (NCHC): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered an assist and eight shots on goal in two games as Miami split its weekend series vs. Minnesota Duluth.

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten):
The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has five assists in 18 games this season.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft tallied two shots and a plus-1 rating in two games as Michigan State split its weekend series at Wisconsin.

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft notched two points (1-1=2) and four PIM in two games as Boston College went 1-0-1 in those games.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East): The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota registered a goal and six shots in two games as Notre Dame went 1-0-1 at Boston University last weekend.

LW Louis Nanne - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC):
Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded a goal on two shots in Rensselaer’s 2-2 tie at Cornell (2/20).

C Avery Peterson - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft registered two shots and two PIM in two games as Nebraska Omaha lost its weekend series at St. Cloud State.

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC):
Minnesota's fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft tallied three points (1-2=3) and eight PIM in two games as Minnesota Duluth split its weekend series at Miami.

RW Alex Tuch - Boston College (Hockey East):
The Wild's first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered two points (1-1=2) in Boston’s two games last weekend.

Europe

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Minnesota's sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft will face Lausanne HC in the first round of playoffs on Feb. 28 as Bern finished second in the National League A with 96 points.

D Pontus Sjalin - Leksands J20 (Super Elit): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks third on the team in assists.

Goaltenders

Alexandre Belanger - Cape-Breton (QMJHL): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft went 2-1-0 in three games last week.

Kaapo Kahkonen - TUTO Turku (Mestis): Minnesota's fourth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks T-2nd in the league in SV% and fifth in GAA.

Steve Michalek - Harvard (ECAC):
The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft made went 1-1-1 in three games last week and was honored with Eberly Award as Beanpot’s top goalie, stopping 87-of-94 shots faced throughout the tournament.
