Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 17-34-1-1, 36 points, Fifth Place in West Division
The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, dropped its three home games last weekend. The Wild fell in its first match against the Stars, 4-1, on Friday (2/13). F Oliver Archambault scored for Iowa as D Danny Syvret and D Collin Bowman tallied assists. G John Curry made 19 saves. Iowa dropped its second match against Texas, 2-0, on Saturday (2/14). G Johan Gustafsson made 18-of-20 saves. The Wild fell to the Barons, 5-3, on Sunday (2/15). F Kurtis Gabriel scored twice for Iowa while F Brett Sutter tallied a goal and Curry made 24 saves. F Tyler Graovac leads the team in scoring with 34 points (16-18=34) in 50 games. Keranen ranks second with 32 points (9-23=32) while F Jordan Schroeder ranks third with 28 points (10-18=28). Curry is 8-13-0 with a 2.83 GAA and a .914 SV% in 24 games. Gustafsson is 7-17-1 with a 3.34 GAA and a .896 SV% in 27 games. The Wild travels for a three-game road trip with stops in Charlotte (Wed. & Thurs.) and Milwaukee (Sat.).


Canadian Hockey Leagues

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded two goals and four PIM in Brandon’s 5-4 OT loss (2/13).

D Tanner Faith - Kootenay (WHL): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to an upper body injury.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL): The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied five assists and a plus-3 rating in three games last week.

C Pavel Jenys - Sudbury (OHL): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered a goal and an assist in four games last week.

C Chase Lang - Calgary (WHL):
The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft netted a goal and two PIM in four games last week.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL):
The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota is expected to miss the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery.

College/USHL/High School

D Louis Belpedio - Miami University of Ohio (NCHC): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft was named NCHC Rookie of the Week (2/16) after recording two points (1-1=2) and six shots in Miami’s weekend sweep at Colorado College.

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has five assists in 18 games this season.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft tallied a shot on goal and a plus-3 rating in Michigan State’s 3-0 win vs. Penn State (2/13).

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft ranks first on the Eagles in power-play goals (5), second in scoring and in assists.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East): The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied two shots on goal in two games as Notre Dame split its weekend series vs. Providence.

LW Louis Nanne - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded three shots on goal in two games as RPI lost both home games last weekend.

C Avery Peterson - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has three shots in two games as Nebraska Omaha split its weekend series vs. Western Michigan.

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft tallied five shots and four PIM in two games as Minnesota Duluth split its weekend series vs. St. Cloud State.

RW Alex Tuch - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft was named Hockey East/Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week (2/16).

Europe

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Minnesota's sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft missed SC Bern’s last three games due to a lower body injury suffered Feb. 11.

D Pontus Sjalin - Leksands J20 (Super Elit): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks third on the team in assists.

Goaltenders

Alexandre Belanger - Cape-Breton (QMJHL): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft lost both starts last week, stopping a combined 49-of-56 shots faced and has posted a 4-4-0 record with a 3.11 GAA and a .899 SV% in eight games with Cape-Breton.

Kaapo Kahkonen - TUTO Turku (Mestis): Minnesota's fourth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks T-2nd in the league in SV% and fifth in GAA.

Steve Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft made 51-of-55 saves in two games last weekend as Harvard posted a 1-0-1 record.
