Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 17-31-1-1, 36 points, Fifth Place in West Division
The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 2-2-0 in four games last week. The Wild earned its first shutout of the season defeating Adirondack on Wednesday, 4-0 (2/4). D Jonathon Blum (1-1=2), F Brett Bulmer (0-2=2), LW Stephane Veilleux (0-2=2) and F Michael Keranen (1-1=2) each tallied two points. G Darcy Kuemper made all 28 saves. Iowa won, 5-3, on Friday against Hamilton (2/6). Blum netted two goals while F Brady Brassart (1-1=2), F Kurtis Gabriel (1-1=2) and D Stu Bickel (0-2=2) registered two points apiece. Kuemper stopped 23-of-26 shots. The Wild fell, 5-1, on Saturday against the Marlies (2/7). F Zach Mitchell scored Iowa’s lone goal while Kuemper made 21 saves. Iowa lost 2-1 in its second match of the week against the Bulldogs on Tuesday (2/10). Keranen tallied the Wild’s sole goal with assists from forwards Jason Gregoire and Oliver Archambault. G John Curry stopped 33-of-35 shots. F Tyler Graovac leads the team in scoring with 34 points (16-18=34) in 47 games. Keranen ranks second with 32 points (9-23=32) while F Jordan Schroeder ranks third with 28 points (10-18=28). Curry is 8-11-0 with a 2.74 GAA and a .919 SV% in 22 games and Kuemper is 2-3-0 with a 3.22 GAA and a .891 SV% in five games. The Wild hosts three games this weekend against Texas (Fri. & Sat.) and Oklahoma City (Sun.).


Canadian Hockey Leagues

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded five points (1-4=5), a plus-3 rating and four PIM in four games last week.

D Tanner Faith - Kootenay (WHL):
Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to an upper body injury.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL):
The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied an assist and six PIM in two games last week.

C Pavel Jenys - Sudbury (OHL): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered a goal and five PIM in two games last week.

C Chase Lang - Calgary (WHL): The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft netted four points (1-3=4) and seven PIM in two games last week.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL): The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota is expected to miss the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery.

College/USHL/High School

D Louis Belpedio - Miami University of Ohio (NCHC): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied two assists in Miami’s 4-3 win vs. Western Michigan (2/7).

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten):
The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft did not play in Michigan’s 4-1 win vs. Michigan State (2/7).

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft has two assists in 18 games this season.

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft registered two points (1-1=2) in Boston’s 4-2 win at Merrimack (2/6).

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East):
The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied two points (1-1=2) and a plus-4 rating in two games as Notre Dame split its weekend series at Maine.

LW Louis Nanne - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded a shot on goal in Rensselaer’s 3-1 loss at St. Lawrence (2/6).

C Avery Peterson - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has 10 goals and nine assists in 26 games this season.

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft tallied three shots, a plus-3 rating and four PIM in two games as Minnesota Duluth swept its weekend series vs. Northern Michigan.

RW Alex Tuch - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded three points (2-1=3) in Boston College’s 4-2 win at Merrimack (2/6).

Europe

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Minnesota's sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft ranks second on the team in shots (105) on goal, T-2nd in goals and T-4th in points.

D Pontus Sjalin - Leksands J20 (Super Elit):
The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks third on the team in assists.

Goaltenders

Alexandre Belanger - Cape-Breton (QMJHL)
: The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft made 28 saves in his sole game last week as the Screaming Eagles won 4-3 SO at Rimouski (2/7).

Kaapo Kahkonen - TUTO Turku (Mestis): Minnesota's fourth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks T-2nd in the league in SV% and fifth in GAA.

Steve Michalek - Harvard (ECAC):
The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft is 12-8-2 this season.
