IOWA WILD 2015-16 RECORD: 5-19-2-3, 15 POINTS

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 1-1-1 in three games last week.

The Wild dropped its first contest against the IceHogs, 2-1, on Friday at BMO Harris Bank Center (12/11). F Colton Beck scored the lone goal, his first AHL point, with assists from F Marc Hagel and F Brett Sutter. G Leland Irving stopped 38-of-40 shots.

Iowa earned a point in its second game of the week with a 4-3 overtime loss against Grand Rapids on Sunday in Des Moines (12/13). D Mike Reilly led the Wild with two points (1-1=2). F Rob Bordson and F Zack Mitchell also tallied a goal each and G Jeremy Smith made 26 saves through overtime.

The Wild won the final contest of the week with a 4-3 overtime win against the Charlotte Checkers at Bojangles’ Coliseum on Tuesday (12/15). F Jordan Schroeder (2-0=2), D Gustav Olofsson (0-2=2) and F Michael Keranen (0-2=2) each led Iowa with two points. F Christoph Bertschy also tallied a goal during regulation while Mitchell registered the overtime winner. Irving earned the win with 21-of-24 saves through overtime.

Mitchell leads Iowa with 15 points (10-5=15) in 29 games. He ranks T-1st in the AHL with two shorthanded goals and T-7th with three first goals. Keranen (5-9=14) and Bertschy (4-10=14) rank T-2nd on the team with 14 points apiece. Bertschy also ranks T-13th in the league in rookie scoring. F Grayson Downing ranks fourth on the Wild with 12 points (6-6=12). Reilly (3-8=11) ranks T-7th in scoring amongst rookie defensemen in the AHL. Irving is 4-10-3 with a 2.70 GAA, .917 SV% and one shutout in 18 games and is third in the league with 509 saves, eighth in minutes played (1,023) and T-19th in save percentage. Smith is 1-9-2 with a 3.37 GAA and a .905 SV% in 13 games.

The Wild finishes its two-game road trip to Charlotte on Thursday before hosting San Antonio for back-to-back games.

CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUES

D Gustav Bouramman - Sault Ste. Marie (OHL): Earned two assists in three games last week…Set a career-high five-game point streak (0-7=7) from Nov. 29-Dec. 10…Leads Sault Ste. Marie defensemen in assists (third overall) and T-1st in scoring (T-6th overall)…Minnesota’s seventh-round selection in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL): Tallied two assists and two penalty minutes in three games last week…Owns 11 points (6-5=11) in the last 13 contests…Ranks T-5th in the WHL in game-winning goals (4) and T-18th in goals…Ranks second on the team in goals, fourth in plus/minus rating and sixth in points…Wild’s sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

D Tanner Faith - Moose Jaw (WHL): Recorded an assist and four penalty minutes in three games last week…He has set career highs in assists and points this season, his two goals are tied for his career-best…Ranks third amongst Warriors defensemen in goals and assists and is T-2nd in scoring while T-3rd on the team in penalty minutes…Serving as an alternate captain this season…Acquired by Moose Jaw from the Kootenay Ice (9/23)…Minnesota’s fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

C Pavel Jenys - Niagara (OHL): Tallied his third assist with Niagara in two games last week and also owns two penalty minutes in eight games with the IceDogs…Traded to Niagara Icedogs (11/23)…Started the season with the Sudbury Wolves, totaling 12 points (4-8=12) and 16 penalty minutes in 24 games…Wild’s seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

C Chase Lang - Vancouver (WHL): Registered three points (1-2-3) and six penalty minutes in three games last week…Has tallied 10 points (4-6=10) in seven December games…Owns 21 points (7-14=21) with the Giants…Leads the team in scoring and assists, third in goals and is fourth in penalty minutes…Traded to the Vancouver Giants from Calgary (10/27)…Registered seven points (2-5=7) and 20 penalty minutes in 14 games with the Hitmen…Minnesota’s sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL): Tallied an assist and seven penalty minutes in two games…Ranks second on the team in penalty minutes and is third amongst defensemen in assists and third in scoring…Netted his first WHL goal against Rylan Parenteau in the Raiders’ 3-2 overtime loss vs. Victoria (10/30)…Signed as a free agent with the Wild, September 23, 2014.

D Nolan De Jong - University of Michigan (Big-10): Tallied three shots on goal and earned a plus-2 rating in Michigan’s two games vs. Minnesota last weekend…Ranks T-3rd amongst Michigan’s blue liners in scoring and third in shots on goal (19)…Minnesota’s seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
