Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 11-19-1-1, 24 points, Fifth Place in West Division

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 2-1-0 in three games last week. The Wild earned a 2-1 victory against the Rockford IceHogs at BMO Harris Bank Center on Friday (12/26). F Michael Keranen tallied two assists. Forwards Tyler Graovac and Jordan Schroeder scored and G John Curry made 38 saves. Iowa suffered a 9-2 loss against Grand Rapids at Van Andel Arena on Saturday (12/27). Graovac and Schroeder scored for the Wild. G Johan Gustafsson made 18 saves through two periods of play while G David DeSander made four saves in relief in his AHL debut. The Wild defeated the Milwaukee Admirals, 3-2, in overtime at Wells Fargo Arena on Monday (12/29). Schroeder scored both of Iowa’s goals while F Zack Mitchell netted the overtime winner. D Matt Dumba tallied two assists. Gustafsson made 30-of-32 saves through overtime. Keranen leads Iowa in scoring with 25 points (5-20=25) in 32 games. Graovac ranks second with 24 points (12-12=24) and Schroeder ranks third with 22 points (9-13=22). Gustafsson is 6-12-1 with a 3.50 GAA and a .892 SV% in 20 games. Curry is 5-6-0 with a 2.84 GAA and a .917 SV% in 13 games. G Josh Harding is 0-1-1 with a 3.37 GAA and a .920 SV% in two games. The Wild will travel for a two-game road trip with stops in Rochester (Fri.) and Utica (Sat.) this week.

Canadian Hockey Leagues

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL):
The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded three points (1-2=3) in three games last week.

D Tanner Faith - Kootenay (WHL): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft is currently sidelined with an upper body injury.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL):
The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota recorded five shots on goal in two games last week.

C Pavel Jenys - Sudbury (OHL):
Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist in Sudbury’s 4-2 loss against Mississauga (12/30).

C Chase Lang - Calgary (WHL): The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered five points (1-4=5) in three games last week.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL): The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota is expected to miss the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery.

College/USHL/High School

D Louis Belpedio - Miami University of Ohio (NCHC): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded six PIM in two games as Miami went 1-0-1 in the Florida College Hockey Classic (Dec. 28-29).

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist in two games as Michigan won both its contests in the Great Lakes Invitational to earn its 16th GLI championship.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft has two assists in 14 games this season.

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft has two goals and nine asssists for 11 points in 17 games this season.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East): The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied two assists in two games as Notre Dame went 1-1-0 in its two contests during the Florida College Hockey Classic, falling 2-1 against Lake Superior State in the championship (12/29).

LW Louis Nanne - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has four goals and three assists in 13 games.

C Avery Peterson - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded an assist and three shots on goal in his last three games.

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft has two goals and four assists for six points this season.

RW Alex Tuch - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft is participating in the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship and ranks T-1st on the United States in shots on goal (14) and T-2nd in scoring (1-1=2) through three games.

Europe

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Minnesota's sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft registered an assist, a plus-2 rating and two PIM in two games last week.

D Pontus Sjalin - Leksands J20 (Super Elit)
: The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks third on the team in assists with 13.

Goaltenders

Alexandre Belanger - Rouyn-Noranda (QMJHL): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft went 1-1-0 in two games last week.

Kaapo Kahkonen - TUTO Turku (Mestis):
Minnesota's fourth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft is currently at IIHF World Juniors as Finland’s third goalie.

Steve Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft made 31 saves in Harvard’s 6-2 win vs. Rensselaer (12/30).
