Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 8-17-1-1, 18 points, Fifth Place in West Division

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 2-2-0 in four games last week. Iowa won its first match against San Antonio, 4-1, on Thursday at Wells Fargo Arena (12/11). Forwards Brett Sutter (2-0=2), Stephane Veilleux (0-2=2) and D Daniel Syvret (0-2=2) led the team with two points each. G John Curry made 33 saves. The Wild dropped its second match against the Rampage, 3-0, in Des Moines on Friday (12/12). Curry made 28-of-31 saves. Iowa suffered a 2-1 loss against Adirondack on Sunday at Wells Fargo Arena (12/14). Veilleux netted the team’s lone goal with assists from Sutter and D Matt Dumba. G Johan Gustafsson made 28 saves. The Wild defeated the IceHogs, 5-1, in Iowa on Tuesday (12/16). F Jordan Schroeder (0-2=2), F Michael Keranen (0-2=2), F Zack Phillips (1-1=2) and Dumba (1-1=2) each notched two points. Curry earned the win with 33 saves through two periods while Gustafsson stopped all 25 shots faced in relief in the third period. F Tyler Graovac ranks first on the Wild with 20 points (8-12=20). Keranen ranks second with 19 points (5-14=19) and Schroeder ranks third with 17 points (5-12=17). Gustafsson is 4-10-1 with a 3.35 GAA and a .898 SV% in 16 games. Curry is 4-6-0 with a 3.02 GAA and a .911 SV% in 12 games. G Josh Harding is 0-1-1 with a 3.37 GAA and a .920 SV% in two games. The Wild will play a home-and-home series against the Chicago Wolves this weekend (Sat. and Sun.).

Canadian Hockey Leagues

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded three points (1-2=3) and eight PIM in four games last week.

D Tanner Faith - Kootenay (WHL): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft is currently sidelined with an upper body injury.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL): The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota recorded two points (1-1=2) and a plus-3 rating in two games last week.

C Pavel Jenys
- Sudbury (OHL): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft participated in Czech Republic’s National Junior Team Tryout Camp last weekend.

C Chase Lang
- Calgary (WHL): The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered four points (2-2=4) in two games last week.

D Hunter Warner
- Prince Albert (WHL): The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota is expected to miss the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery.

- Miami University of Ohio (NCHC): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft has three goals and four assists for seven points in 16 games this season.

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has three assists in 12 games this season.

D John Draeger
- Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft recorded his second assist in as many games as Michigan State won 6-4 vs. Clarkson (12/14).

C Adam Gilmour
- Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist and a plus-2 rating in Boston’s 5-1 win vs. Michigan State (12/13).

LW Mario Lucia
- Notre Dame (Hockey East): The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota has 11 goals and three assists in 18 games this season.

LW Louis Nanne
- Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has four goals and three assists in 13 games.

C Avery Peterson - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded two PIM and two shots on goal in two games as Nebraska Omaha won its weekend series vs. St. Cloud State.

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft tallied three shots on net in two games as Minnesota Duluth split its weekend series at Michigan Tech.

RW Alex Tuch
- Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded two assists and a plus-2 rating in Boston’s 5-1 win over Michigan State (12/13).

Europe

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Minnesota's sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft registered a goal in two games last week...Ranks second on the team in goals and fifth in points.

D Pontus Sjalin - Leksands J20 (Super Elit): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist and two PIM in two games last week…Ranks third on the team in assists.

Alexandre Belanger
- Rouyn-Noranda (QMJHL): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft was named QMJHL’s third star of the week after winning both starts with a 1.44 GAA and a .950 SV%.

Kaapo Kahkonen - TUTO Turku (Mestis): Minnesota's fourth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft was named to the Finland National Junior Preliminary Roster (12/11).

Steve Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft ranks second in the conference in GAA and in SV%.
