Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 6-15-1-1, 14 points, Fifth Place in West Division


The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 1-1-0 in two games last week. The Wild suffered a 2-1 loss against the Charlotte Checkers at Time Warner Cable Arena on Saturday (12/6). Forward Stephane Veilleux scored the team’s lone goal with assists from F Marc Hagel and D Justin Falk. G Josh Harding started the game allowing two goals on 21 shots in 39:58 of play. G John Curry stopped all seven shots faced in relief. Iowa won its second match against the Checkers, 4-3, in Charlotte on Monday (12/8). F Tyler Graovac (1-2=3) led the Wild three points on the night. Hagel (0-2=2) and D Matt Dumba (1-1=2) each registered two points. Curry earned the win stopping 20-of-23 shots. Graovac ranks first on the Wild with 20 points (8-12=20) in 23 games. F Michael Keranen ranks second with 16 points (4-12=16) and F Jordan Schroeder ranks third with 15 points (5-10=15). G Johan Gustafsson is 4-9-1 with a 3.53 GAA and a .890 SV% in 14 games. Curry is 2-5-0 with a 3.38 GAA and a .897 SV% in nine games. Harding is 0-1-1 with a 3.37 GAA and a .920 SV% in two games. The Wild returns to Iowa for a four-game homestand hosting San Antonio (Fri. and Sat.), Adirondack (Sun.) and Rockford (Tues.).

- Brandon (WHL): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded three points (1-2=3) and two PIM in three games last week.

D Tanner Faith
- Kootenay (WHL): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist and a plus-3 rating in two games last week.

D Dylan Labbe
- Shawinigan (QMJHL): The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota recorded seven points (5-2=7) and two PIM in three games last week.

C Pavel Jenys
- Sudbury (OHL): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist in two games last week.

C Chase Lang
- Calgary (WHL): The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered four points (1-3=4) and two PIM in two games last week.

D Hunter Warner
- Prince Albert (WHL): The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota is expected to miss the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery.

- Miami University of Ohio (NCHC): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied two assists in two games as Miami split its weekend series vs. Omaha.

- Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft recorded his first point of the season with an assist in Michigan State’s 3-3 tie (2-1 SOW) vs. Minnesota (12/6).

C Adam Gilmour
- Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft tallied three shots in two games as Boston College split its home-and-home series against New Hampshire.

- Notre Dame (Hockey East): The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota registered three points (2-1=3) in two games as Notre Dame won its weekend series at Massachusetts.

LW Louis Nanne
- Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft is currently sidelined with an upper-body injury.

C Avery Peterson
- Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded three points (1-2=3) in two games as Omaha split its weekend series at Miami.

D Carson Soucy
