Wild Plays Of The Week: Oct. 26

by Ross Hollebon / Minnesota Wild

It’s time once again for Wild fans to decide the DQ Bakes Play of the Week based on three of the best efforts provided by Wild players from recent games.

The winning vote getter for the week of Oct. 19th was Zach Parise’s hat trick goal in the season opening win at Colorado.

This week’s nominees are:

Vanek Deflection (October 22, 2015 vs Columbus)
Thomas Vanek redirected a pass from Jason Zucker, and tipped it up, off the head of Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, and in for a game-winning power play goal against Columbus.

Coyle Sacrifice (October 24, 2015 vs. Anaheim)
Devan Dubnyk made the initial two saves during a flurry of activity in front of the Wild net, but it was Charlie Coyle who came to the rescue with a third, stoning Carl Hagelin from in close and helping preserve the shutout as the Wild defeated the Ducks, 3-0, at Xcel Energy Center.

Zucker Speed (October 25, 2015 at Winnipeg)
10 seconds. That’s all it took for the speedy Jason Zucker to open the scoring and set a Wild team record for fastest goal to start a game as he beat Jets goaltender Michael Hutchinson, in a 5-4 loss at Winnipeg.
