Wild Plays Of The Week: Nov. 30

by Ross Hollebon / Minnesota Wild

It’s time once again for Wild fans to decide the DQ Bakes Play of the Week based on three of the best efforts provided by Wild players from recent games. Voting ends Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

The winning vote getter for the week of Nov. 23 was Jonas Brodin’s powerful slap shot goal at Nashville on Nov. 21.

This week’s nominees are:

PLAY #1
Slick As Coyle (November 25, 2015 vs. Vancouver)
Charlie Coyle struck with 1:20 left in the 3rd period to bring the Wild within one goal. With goalie Devan Dubnyk pulled for the extra attacker, Coyle's redirection in front of the net of a Ryan Suter wrister from the point beat Canucks goalie Ryan Miller and set up a frantic finish.

PLAY #2
Van-Thru-Traffic (November 28, 2015 vs. Dallas)
Thomas Vanek started the scoring on Saturday night from the top of the left circle, beating Stars goalie Antti Niemi for a 1-0 lead. Vanek took a pass from Jonas Brodin to enter the offensive zone and sent a wrister that was blocked by Stars defenseman John Klingberg. The puck came right back to Vanek who gathered his own rebound and shot again, with this one finding its way through traffic for the goal.

PLAY #3
Pominville - Population +1 (November 28, 2015 vs. Dallas)
Jason Pominville ripped a slap shot from the top of the right face-off circle, beating Stars goalie Antti Niemi and earning his first goal of the season.
