Wild Plays Of The Week: Nov. 2

by Ross Hollebon / Minnesota Wild

It’s time once again for Wild fans to decide the DQ Bakes Play of the Week based on three of the best efforts provided by Wild players from recent games. Voting ends Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

The winning vote getter for the week of Oct. 26th was Jason Zucker’s goal 10 seconds into the first period against the Winnipeg Jets, a record for the fastest goal in franchise history.

This week’s nominees are:

PLAY #1
Scandella PPG (October 27, 2015 vs. Edmonton)
Marco Scandella teamed with Thomas Vanek on the power play to give the Wild a 2-0 lead in the 1st period against the Oilers. Scandella entered the offensive zone with the puck, left it for Vanek, who put a return pass in place for Scandella to tip it in for the score.

PLAY #2
Carter Breaks In (October 30, 2015 vs. Chicago)
The 4th line struck again as Ryan Carter took advantage of an aggressive play by Chicago’s Scott Darling, walking around the Blackhawks goalie, who was way out of his crease, after nice plays from linemates Erik Haula and Chris Porter.

PLAY #3
Spurgeon PPG (October 30, 2015 vs. Chicago)
Jared Spurgeon kicked off the scoring in the second period against Chicago, converting on the power play after Andrew Desjardins went to the box for a collision with Justin Fontaine.
