Wild Plays Of The Week: Mar. 9

by Katlyn Gambill / Minnesota Wild

Over the last few seasons, Wild.com wanted help from fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last season, Zach Parise’s stellar wrister against Calgary won top honors, defeating Mikko Koivu’s tic-tap-tip-in play against Winnipeg.

Last week, fans voted Nino Storm Chaser, Nino Niederreiter's tally against Nashville as the winner.

Three new plays for Wild fans to vote on. First up is Matt Dumba’s wicked one-timer from the top of the circle that just zoomed past Andrew Hammond and the Senators.

Jason Pominville scored from his knees against Washington due to sheer perseverance. His first attempt caused him to lose his stick, but he dove down to the ice in time to grab his stick and just poke the puck in to the net.

Pominville’s second tally against Washington was nothing but net. His slapshot stunned Braden Holtby and ended up being the game-winner.

Make your pick Wild fans for the top play of the past week.
