Over the last few seasons, Wild.com wanted help from fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last season, Zach Parise’s stellar wrister against Calgary won top honors, defeating Mikko Koivu’s tic-tap-tip-in play against Winnipeg.
Last week, fans voted Mikko Koivu's overtime goal against Calgary as the winner.
First up this week is Erik Haula’s blast from the point against Nashville for the game’s first goal. It was his sixth goal of the season.
Next is Nino Niederreiter’s tally against the Predators. Jordan Schroeder sent the puck to Charlie Coyle inside the blue line, who then fed Niederreiter. The Swiss forward chipped it past Pekka Rinne.
Then finally is Devan Dubnyk’s save with 1:11 left in the game against Colorado. The puck bounced up and hit the back of his shoulder, before popping forward to tap the front of his right shoulder. Then finally Dubnyk corralled the puck for the whistle.
