Wild Plays Of The Week: Apr. 13

by Katlyn Gambill / Minnesota Wild

Over the last few seasons, Wild.com wanted help from fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last season, Zach Parise’s stellar wrister against Calgary won top honors, defeating Mikko Koivu’s tic-tap-tip-in play against Winnipeg.

Last week’s winning play was Devan Dubnyk's amazing stick save against the Detroit Red Wings and Darren Helm.

It’s the final week of Dairy Queen’s Plays Of The Week, so make your pick very carefully.

Welcome back to the lineup Jason Zucker! Zucker returned from injury just in the knick of time for the Wild. Chris Stewart set him up for a clean shot that he buried past Corey Crawford as the game-winner and playoff-clinching goal.

Marco Scandella’s spin goal is next on the list. Matt Cooke fed him with a pass from the blueline and Scandella reacted quickly by spinning around with the puck to avoid a Nashville defenseman before tapping home a top-shelf wrister.

Then finally is Jason Pominville’s game-winner against Nashville. Off the draw that Mikael Granlund won, Pominville fed the puck to Jared Spurgeon at the point, who instantly passed it back to Pominville, for a quick shot from the top of the slot.
