The Minnesota Wild has launched a “Wild Playoff Spirit” contest for schools across the State of Hockey as the team gears up to face the Chicago Blackhawks for Round 2 of the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
“Wild Playoff Spirit” could be demonstrated with a large sign made by the entire school or individual signs made by students. Use of Minnesota Wild slogans, colors, memorabilia, player photos and creativity, is all encouraged. Elementary, middle or high schools in Minnesota can enter by uploading a photo of their class or school demonstrating their Wild playoff spirit.
Two winning schools will be chosen. One school within the Twin Cities seven-county metropolitan area that demonstrates the best Wild spirit will win a pep rally with Wild mascot Nordy and receive official Round 2 Playoff Rally Towels. One school in greater Minnesota will win a Wild team-autographed State of Hockey flag to display in their school or community. The Minnesota Wild will select the two winning schools.
Principals and teachers can enter their school and upload photos here. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, May 1 at 11:59 p.m. (CT).
The Wild will face off against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday, May 1 at 8:30 p.m. at United Center for Game 1 of the Second Round of the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
2015 Wild Playoff presenting partners are Xcel Energy, SuperAmerica, Wells Fargo and Treasure Island Resort & Casino.
