Wild Joins Forces With Schwan's Cares

by Staff Writer / Minnesota Wild

The Minnesota Wild has announced a partnership with Schwan’s Cares™ and Minnesota Hockey. Schwan’s Cares™, a unique online fundraising solution from Schwan’s Home Service, Inc., eliminates the frustrations that come with most traditional money-raising methods.

The Wild is rebranding the Schwan’s Hockey Mom program as the Schwan’s Cares™ Hockey Mom. Hockey mom nominations can be submitted at http://www.Wild.com/hockeymom. One randomly-selected hockey mom will be honored at each home game; she receives two tickets and a $50 gift card to Schwans.com.

The Wild and Schwan’s Cares™ are also introducing a “One Suite Night with the Wild” fundraising contest where any Minnesota Hockey-affiliated association team who raises more than $500 between Oct. 1, 2013 and April 1, 2014 will be entered into a random drawing to receive the Schwan’s corporate suite at the Xcel Energy Center for a future Wild home game. To learn more about the contest, visit www.wild.com/schwanscares

The Schwan’s Cares™ fundraising program enables community members to support their favorite causes — such as local youth sports teams, non-profit groups, church projects and other community organizations — with a seamless, 100 percent online fundraising program. With the Schwan’s Cares™, children or groups no longer have to handle cash, sell marked-up, generic products in parking lots or storefronts, or deliver or arrange for the pickup of products. In about 20 minutes, charitable groups can use Schwan’s Cares™ to create a fundraising Web page and run their own campaigns entirely online. To start a fundraising campaign*, visit www.schwans-cares.com.

The Schwan’s Cares™ program is being promoted in communities across the United States with the purpose of supporting thousands of teams, communities and causes. Additionally, the program is launching with several prominent partners, including USA Hockey and and its more than one-million members, the National Sports Center and its signature global youth soccer event, Schwan's USA Cup, Minnesota Hockey and the Wild. Another group, Special Olympics Minnesota is planning to kick off a robust Schwan’s Cares™ campaign later this fall.
