Minnesota has claimed Elk River native and former Wild defenseman, Nate Prosser off waivers from St. Louis.
Prosser, 28, totaled eight points (2-6=8) and 58 penalty minutes PIM in 53 games with the Wild in 2013-14, before joining the Blues this offseason. The 6-foot-2, 203-pound native of Elk River, Minn., has totaled 21 points (3-18=21) and 127 PIM in 126 games during parts of five seasons with the Wild, since he first signed as a free agent with Minnesota in 2010. The blueliner also recorded 12 PIM and a plus-2 rating in 10 playoff games with the Wild in 2014.
The Wild visits the St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center tonight at 7 p.m. The game can be heard on KOOL 107.9 FM. Minnesota will host the Blues for the Wild’s final preseason game, Saturday at 7 p.m. at Xcel Energy Center.
