Wild Announces Opening Roster

Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reduced its roster to 24 active players after reassigning D Drew Bagnall and LW Matt Kassian to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the Wild placed LW Pierre-Marc Bouchard and G Josh Harding on Injured Reserve and designated C James Sheppard as an injured non-roster player. G Dennis Endras will serve as the club’s third goalie for the two games played in Helsinki, Finland.

Minnesota plays the Carolina Hurricanes in the opening game of the 2010-11 NHL regular season as part of the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere at Hartwall Areena in Helsinki, Finland, on Thursday, Oct. 7. The teams will also play in Helsinki on Friday, Oct. 8. Both games will start at 11 a.m. (CT) and be broadcast live on Versus (HD) and WCCO Radio 830 AM.
