by Staff Writer / Minnesota Wild
SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild announced today a 50/50 Raffle, a new in-game fundraising effort that will provide participating fans the opportunity to win up to $10,000 at every Wild home game, including tonight’s game against the Colorado Avalanche at Xcel Energy Center.

Fifty percent of each game’s raffle ticket sales will go to the game’s designated non-profit beneficiary, while the other 50 percent of money raised will go to the winning raffle ticket buyer (up to $10,000).

Pricing for the 50/50 Raffle tickets is as follows: one ticket for $2, three tickets for $5 and seven tickets for $10. Fans can purchase raffle tickets at any of six raffle locations inside the Xcel Energy Center: Section 102, Section 118, C10, C30, Section 206 and Section 217.

50/50 Raffle tickets will be sold starting when doors open before the start of each home game through the end of the second intermission. The winning 50/50 Raffle ticket will be selected in a public drawing at the beginning of the third period in Section 102.

The Wild are the first Minnesota professional sports team to offer a 50/50 Raffle. The team worked closely with the Minnesota Gambling Control Board and City of St. Paul officials in the development of this fundraiser.

The first five 50/50 Raffles will benefit the Minnesota Wild Foundation. After Jan. 1, 2010, charitable organizations such as Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, HopeKids and Minnesota Hockey will be the 50/50 Raffle beneficiaries.

Great seats are still available for all Minnesota Wild home games, including tonight’s game against the Colorado Avalanche. For more information on single game ticket packages visit
