The Minnesota Wild launched a new initiative called “GameDay Tickets” designed to help fans get last-minute tickets to Wild home games this season that have limited availability.
“Per National Hockey League policy, we are required to hold tickets for special circumstances, like visiting teams, up until the day of the game,” explained Wild Vice President of Marketing Intelligence Mitch Helgerson. “With our GameDay Tickets initiative, we will be able to instantly make Wild fans aware of any tickets that become available on the day of a game.”
Fans can sign up at wild.com/gamedaytix to join the text notification list. GameDay Ticket subscribers will immediately receive a SMS text message on Wild home game days when pairs of tickets (or better), or discounted single seats become available.
“It’s our goal to make every possible ticket available to fans,” said Helgerson. “Wild Season Tickets were capped to allow for single-game and group ticket availability as well.”
Upon receiving text notification, fans can purchase day-of-game tickets one of four ways: through a link in the notification text, on the Wild app, at ticketmaster.com or in person at the Xcel Energy Center box office.
Additionally, fans are encouraged to visit wild.com/ticketexchange or ticketmaster.com to locate legitimate tickets being re-sold. Ticketmaster is the only authorized seller and reseller of Wild tickets outside of the Xcel Energy Center Box Office. Fans who purchase tickets from an unauthorized agent in the secondary market are at risk of purchasing counterfeit or invalid tickets.
