NEWS: Wild announces schedule

– The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild today announced its 2009-10 preseason schedule will consist of seven games, including four road contests and three home games at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild will play a home-and-home series against the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets and St. Louis Blues and play at the Philadelphia Flyers.
Minnesota opens its preseason schedule at St. Louis on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The club then hosts Columbus on Sept. 18 and Chicago on Sept. 20 at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild plays at the Blue Jackets Sept. 21 and hosts the Blues Sept. 24 before playing road games against the Blackhawks Sept. 25 and the Flyers Sept. 29. The Wild went 5-2-0 in preseason action last season and owns a 33-19-6 all-time mark in preseason matches.
All games will be broadcast on WCCO Radio (830 AM) the Minnesota Wild’s official radio flagship station. Single game tickets for Wild preseason games at Xcel Energy Center will go on sale August 22.
