SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild announced today that 96% of its season ticket holders have renewed their seats for the 2008-09 NHL season.
The Wild will offer approximately 2,000 tickets per game for all contests at Xcel Energy Center. Single-game tickets for the 2008-09 NHL regular season will go on sale on Saturday, Sept. 20 starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office (199 West Kellogg Boulevard) and 12:00 p.m. (noon) on the Minnesota Wild web site at www.wild.com and all Ticketmaster outlets (www.ticketmaster.com) or charge by calling Ticketmaster at (651) 989-5151.
Over 7,500 people are currently on the Wild Warming House season ticket holder waiting list. To join the Wild Warming House a $200.00 non-refundable deposit is required for each season ticket. A minimum two-seat deposit is required to join the Wild Warming House and an annual $100.00 per seat deposit will be required to maintain your priority number until you select season tickets.
The Wild has sold-out every game in club history registering 321 consecutive sellouts including 287 regular season games, 21 preseason contests and 13 playoff matches, the longest current sellout streak in the NHL. Total attendance for the first seven seasons stands at 5,940,730. Minnesota averaged 18,568 fans at its 41 regular season games in 2007-08. Xcel Energy Center's capacity is 18,064.
