SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired a fifth-round selection in the 2023 NHL Draft in a three-team trade with the Washington Capitals and the Boston Bruins. The Wild acquired defenseman Dmitry Orlov from Washington in exchange for forward Andrei Svetlakov. Washington retained half of Orlov's salary. Minnesota then traded Orlov to Boston in exchange for a fifth-round selection in the 2023 NHL Draft. Minnesota retained 25% of Orlov's remaining salary.
Minnesota has also reassigned forward Adam Beckman to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Minnesota now has seven picks in the 2023 NHL Draft.
