by Staff Writer / Minnesota Wild

Wild About Children, presented by West Bend, raised a record $195,000 for the Minnesota Wild Foundation and Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. The event was held Monday, Dec. 1, at A’BULAE in St. Paul. In its 10-year history, Wild About Children has contributed more than $1,000,000 to benefit Children’s of Minnesota. This year’s event will help build a teen room and renovate a private patient room on the Minneapolis campus.wi

The entire Wild roster served as celebrity waiters and traded in their jerseys for aprons to wait on the 330 guests (another record). The event raises money through several fundraising vehicles, including a silent and live auction.

The Minnesota Wild Foundation exists to support the game of hockey and to improve the lives of families in the State of Hockey.

Last season, the event raised $162,000 for the Minnesota Wild Foundation and Children’s of Minnesota.

Since its inception in 2000, the Minnesota Wild has invested $10,600,000 back into the community. The organization has provided autographed and non-autographed merchandise for local fundraisers and benefits, made contributions to non-profit organizations, implemented successful events and provided awareness and brand connectivity for smaller non-profit organizations.
