Vote On Last Week's Top Plays

by Katlyn Gambill / Minnesota Wild

Over the last few seasons, Wild.com wanted help from fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last season, Zach Parise’s stellar wrister against Calgary won top honors, defeating Mikko Koivu’s tic-tap-tip-in play against Winnipeg.

Last week, Darcy Kuemper's sweet paddle save won week two.

Up next is Scandella, Ella, Ella (Oct. 25 vs. TBL), Connect Spurge (Oct. 25 vs. TBL) and Zucker Shortie (Oct. 25 vs. TBL).

Marco Scandella's goal was the first part of his Gordie Howe Hat Trick. He picked up the puck at the blue line after a slick pass from Pominville then knocked the puck five-hole past Evgeni Nabokov.

Getting a jump on the play, Jared Spurgeon goes down center ice on a two-on-one with Thomas Vanek, who fed Spurgeon a great pass to give him the backdoor shot.

Then finally, Jason Zucker's speed played to the Wild's benefit as he gets in alone on Ben Bishop before roofing a backhand shot.

Choose wisely Wild fans.
