Last year, Wild.com wanted help from our fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help us select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last year's winner was Jason Zucker's first-career goals against Detroit. We had so much fun, we're going to do it again this year.
This season, we're getting help selecting the top play each week from our friends at Dairy Queen. For the second straight week, Mikael Granlund and Jason Pominville hooked up for the Top Play. Granlund found Pominville for a goal against Chicago.
This week, Granlund and Pominville are both up for the play of the week again, but will compete instead of sharing the same play. Up first, Pominville uses a trick shot, scoring from behind the net against Anaheim. Up next, Granlund is the recipient of a nice pass from Zach Parise. Finally, Parise uses is world-class hand-eye coordination to score on a backhand tip.
