Last year, Wild.com wanted help from our fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help us select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last year's winner was Jason Zucker's first-career goals against Detroit. We had so much fun, we're going to do it again this year.
This season, we're getting help selecting the top play each week from our friends at Dairy Queen. Last week's winner was Mikael Granlund, who made a stellar play against Edmonton, stealing the puck and finding his linemate Jason Pominville for a goal.
Granlund is in the running again this week, with a beautiful no-look pass to, who else, Pominville for a goal against Chicago. Goaltender Darcy Kuemper is back in the running with save off his tippy-toe to keep Chicago off the board. Finally, Matt Cooke rounds out this week's ballot with a self-pass off the boards and a backhand-forehand move for a goal against San Jose.
