Last year, Wild.com wanted help from our fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help us select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last year's winner was Jason Zucker's first-career goals against Detroit. We had so much fun, we're going to do it again this year.
This season, we're getting help selecting the top play each week from our friends at Dairy Queen. Last week's winner was Harding's "Hard Save" on P.A. Parenteau as he sprawled out to keep the game scoreless in the first.
This week, we have another submission from Harding and while he made 29 saves against Vancouver last Tuesday, he one stood out from the rest as he denied Daniel Sedin on a late breakaway. Up next, Coyle nets a goal 5-hole after picking up a pass from Koivu to tie the game 2-2 against the Canucks. Finally, Jason Pominville tipped in a Ryan Suter centering pass, off a Mikael Granlund face off win, to put the Wild up 1-0 in the first in New York, and marked the first time in 11 games on the road the Wild scored first.
