Last year, Wild.com wanted help from our fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help us select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last year's winner was Jason Zucker's first-career goals against Detroit. We had so much fun, we're going to do it again this year.
This season, we're getting help selecting the top play each week from our friends at Dairy Queen. Last week's winner was Cool Hand Harding, as goaltender Josh Harding made a huge glove save against San Jose.
This week, we have another submission from Harding, a late game-tying tip and a deadly shootout move winner all from the same contest. Harding continues to be stellar in goal, this time making a last ditch effort to rob Colorado on the power play. Up next, Nino Niederreiter redirects a shot from the point, forcing overtime against the Avalanche. Finally, Wild captain clutch, Mikko Koivu, uses his patented backhand move in the shootout for the game winner.
