Last year, Wild.com wanted help from our fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help us select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last year's winner was Jason Zucker's first-career goals against Detroit. We had so much fun, we're going to do it again this year.
This season, we're getting help selecting the top play each week from our friends at Dairy Queen. Last week's Top Play was courtesy of some pretty passing resulting in a Zach Parise goal.
This week, we have two snipes and a beauty save. Up first, Jason Pominville knows how to finish a pretty passing play, as he scores after a cross-ice pass from Jared Spurgeon against Carolina. Up next, goaltender Josh Harding has been exceptional this season and his glove-ly save against Winnipeg is just another example of how quick his glove hand has been. Finally, Wild captain Mikko Koivu is clutch, scoring the game-winning goal on a rifle one-timer against Winnipeg.
