Last year, Wild.com wanted help from our fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help us select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last year's winner was Jason Zucker's first-career goals against Detroit. We had so much fun, we're going to do it again this year.
This season, we're getting help selecting the top play each week from our friends at Dairy Queen. Last week's winner was Niederreiter Nets One, Nino Niederreiter's pretty goal against Montreal.
This week, we have an unlikely source and two players who are pretty familiar with the Top Plays of the Week competition. Up first, is Zenon Konopka, who took a pass from Torrey Mitchell and buried his first goal with the Wild against New Jersey. Up next, Zach Parise won't score many goals that easily after a beautiful passing play from Mikko Koivu and Ryan Suter. Finally, Jason Pominville knows what to do on a breakaway, as he takes a stretch pass from Suter and goes top shelf against Carolina.
